PlugY stash buttons are missing in mods

I didn't have this problem until after I played Diablo 2 with the Resurgence mod but after that the buttons wouldn't appear every time I played the game with any mod. I tried reinstalling the game, that didn't work. I tried doing a system restore to a point before this problem happened, reinstalled the game, patched it to 1.13c, installed D2SE, then tried playing the game modded (not resurgence) and the buttons are still missing. This only happens when I play the game using a mod, otherwise PlugY works fine. So what am I supposed to do?
