THOC 7 Installation Guide

First you need Diablo II LOD updated to V1.10
First make a folder called THOC, where you should put the mod files.
1. Download and extract THOC_b7 to your THOC folder.
2. Download D2MOD and extract it to your Diablo II folder.
3. Remove the D2mod folder.
4. Run the D2modSetup.bat
5. You need -mod thoc in the end of your Target for your Diablo II shortcut,
here is an example of that: HERE!

Hi, I can't install THOC.
I will describe my actions:
1. I installed fresh copy of diablo and patched it to 1.10
2. in Diablo dir, I created new dir THOC and extract all files from B7 into it
3. I extract all files from D2Mod102.zip into main Diablo dir
4. I run D2ModSetup.bat
5. I created shortcut for diablo 2 and add -mod thoc at the end
6. I run Diablo

When I do it, I see "d2mod system 1.02" message on the main screen but I am playing old normal diablo.
I tried to copy all files from thoc into main diablo dir. Game shows only black screen, and when I pressed "enter" 3 times it returns to windows.

BTW, your installation instruction is little chaotic, what is difference between point 1 and 4 ???

Your start-in folder is set wrong in your new shortcut. Look at S_J's example.

i installed thoc exactly as described above taking into consideration grador's comments and i made sure that the link properties (both lines) were set up exactly as shown in the graphic. however i still got an error. here is an image of the error i got;

Can you give me a link to a source where i can download Diablo II LOD V1.10 because the one i have doesn't work: after first two video ( the ones of Blizzard team) the game stops and an error message appears...

Ya that is all helpful, but almost every item/unit is called ITH, and this guide doesnt say how to help it, please elaborate....

ITH means the mod was installed wrong. Please document exactly the steps you took, and I can help you from there.

Unfortunately, I am either stupid, or can't follow instructions, or really actually need your help. I am yet another 1 who can't seem to install the update.

I get to the create a charater screen. Do that, here background sound but a black screen

The following error message pops up

Also, in the title screen, does it say D2Mod on the botom left hand corner?

Hi there

I did the following

I have separate folders set up for each MOD eg THOC
Saved the D2 v1.10 files into the folder
Saved the THOC 7 files into the same folder
Saved the D2 Mod folder into the THOC directory
Clicked on the D2 mod exe.
Sent the D2 game exe. to the desktop as a shortcut (with all my other playing MODS)
Adjusted the properties as per instructions

Additional comments
I have tried this with and without plugY and the same message occurs
And YES the D2 mod message is on the left hand bottom of the opening screen

After much playing around, I disabled plugY 5.05 and it know seems to work? Thanks for your help.

For the record...I never tested THoC with PlugY and so can't support the use of PlugY with THoC.

I installed PlugY 5.06 with this mod and it works fine for me, just put the plugy files into the thoc folder

You can get d2mod from our File Center. But only use the dll itself, none of the other files. Anything else must come from the THOC package, as they are customized for the mod.
