NefEx v1.00 (build 070511)

Ah ok, that remove's one point from my ToDo, testing NefEx with wine (my plugin is crashing anyway, and i would not see if the crash is caused by NefEx or my crappy edit )

Well I was using the newest build that was Ubuntu specific, so it might be worth testing it on other versions of Wine; although, Nef told me there should be no issues running Nefex under Wine.
Could this plugin be better than my groundbreaking efforts?

I am a newbie on this Forum and on Modding XD ( 1st Post here ).
Well , you said you wanted testers , I don't know how to test exactly but I tried XD...
I can see the potential of this program , I really like it and it can help many modders I think XD , I tried to test a little with what I got so here are the results :
Apparently no error / conflicts messages from the NefEx Log with many tries...
Loaded all "Plugins" without problems , also showed the HP / MP Values like the UIExtensions said XD...
Tested on Windows XP Professional SP2 , Diablo II 1.11b , no Plugy ( obviously XD ).
Thank you for everything XD.
Like I told you before, Vista is giving me some issues with NefEx, and I still can't figure out to get rid of the "hGAME = null" error message in the NefEx log. Running under Administrator doesn't help, neither does a clean install of D2 (hardly thought it was necessary but I gave it a go). I doubt it's a problem with NefEx and more likely a problem with Vista, like you explained via PM, but I thought I would share this info with the public. I will continue to get it working, but it's probably just because I'm stupid. So maybe I should leave it alone.

Try making it run as admin, and see if that helps, we encountered a similar issue with Vista during our internal tests of MetalStorm and it solved the problem there.

so. tested it under windows xp professional, no plugy. Works. Only tried the 'always show HP/MANA' plugin. Works fine. Now, I have my own little bit of suggestions for you nefarious, for plugins.
*1: Arena plugin. When you kill specific superuniques, they drop items, that when cubed, provide a red portal to specific areas, or Arenas. Should be configured through an ini, in this format:
up to 255. Like for Griswold, you could make a Zombie Arena, Bishibosh, a Fallen Arena, etc.
*2: Hellforge II Quest. Adds the Hellforge quest cut from Diablo 2 Final. add new QJ icons, and keep hellforge hammer from Hephasto. Quest begins immediately after you kill Diablo. Diablo drops soulstone. Tyrael gives Diablo's soulstone and hellforge hammer if you lose both of them. Voice redubbing might be needed.
*3:Skill PT/Stat PT plugin: Configure amount of Stat Points and Skill points gained per level and quest reward.
*4: Super Hireling plugin: Configure hireling max level, experience, life gained per level, mana gained per level, stats gained per level, resistances gained per level, and stamina gained per level through tabbed TXT files.
*5: Uber Quest/World Event plugins: Enable Uber Quest and World Event for singleplayer.
All in all an impressive piece of work.
Code: Select all
UM1: (superunique ID)

UA1: (map ID in levels.txt)
UM2: ("")
UI2: ("")
UA2: ("")

I had already tried that. Then again, my computer has issues with everything related to D2 lately. Sorry I can't be of more assistance; maybe once DR is out, I'll work on a NefEx mod.

Re: NefEx v1.00 (build 070511)
Does this run on 1.13?

I doubt it does, as far as I know it's coded for 1.11Kuss" wrote:Does this run on 1.13?

So kingpin, what do you suggest?kingpin" wrote:I doubt it does, as far as I know it's coded for 1.11Kuss" wrote:Does this run on 1.13?
I mean there's not much of a difference from 1.11 to 1.13, let me check a second. Ok yeah, patch 1.12 was that no-cd thing and 1.13 added respec and fixed some bugs (and some little balance changes)
I guess playing in single player with 1.11 is not a big deal, right?

it's what you prefer,Kuss" wrote:So kingpin, what do you suggest?kingpin" wrote:I doubt it does, as far as I know it's coded for 1.11Kuss" wrote:Does this run on 1.13?

I prefer myself 1.10 as for myself I know 1.10 in and out. Not much changed between 1.10 to 1.13 anyway. so what you choose to use, is what you feel most comfortable with.
In 1.11 you get nefex, in 1.10 you get d2mod.
Re: NefEx v1.00 (build 070511)
Thanks Kingpin. I have two more questions if you don't mind me bothering you more (sorry, it's just that I'm new to these things and lots of info are from old thread and a lot of links are dead):
- Do I need to use the 1.11 txt files? Or can I use the 1.13 I already have?
- Is respec possible in 1.11? (I guess yes since mods did it, but I'm not sure)
Thank you

You can use 1.13 text files, if any is changed between versions it's only minor.Kuss" wrote:Thanks Kingpin. I have two more questions if you don't mind me bothering you more (sorry, it's just that I'm new to these things and lots of info are from old thread and a lot of links are dead):
