New Diablo III screenshots!
http://www.tomshardware.com/news/diablo ... ,9558.html
I've only looked at 4 so far (all my security makes it slow), but these look good.
One thing I'm wondering is if they'll overdo the special effects like in Torchlight. I can't even see the character in several of these shots.

I really like the direction they've taken colors and textures in act 2. It actually feels gritty and diablo-esque unlike some of the earliest shots we saw.

Whee! Needs a few bits of color here and there, but it looks okay. (real life is not monochromatic)
Currently working on making an Andariel Player character.

Re: New Diablo III screenshots!
I hadn't actually even looked at them all until now believe it or not.
I do like the special effects most of all, think they are even better then Titan Quest. I've always liked the effect from D2 when souls rise up after you slay them, very dramatic. I'm also sure animated those monsters will be much scarier then on a stationary digital page. In a few of the shots there's poor contrast but your going to get that if you do extreme lighting and very intense special effects. Boy there's alot of blood in one of those shots, I don't think people need to fear that it will be ready to play by a 7 year old. This really is a mature game. It also looks like they will reenact Act II of D2.

I must say, I like what they've done with the blood and gore.
No beating heart I felt. I brought no sights to the silver lips; no warmth from the gold.

I heartily agree. Diablo II seemed more teen then mature.Rattlecage" wrote:I must say, I like what they've done with the blood and gore.

I am pleased with the gore.
Re: New Diablo III screenshots!
The gore is pretty good. I dont know why ppl complain about rainbows when they havent seen the game.
