Shapeshifter Wolf and Greater Wolf

How do the shapeshifter skills Wolfshift and Greater wolfshift work together? Do you choose one or the other, or is one of them kind of a passive thing so you get the ias and def/dmg bonuses?

These are two different skills, that means in general you choose one of them to play with. Greater Wolfshift does more damage an increases you def, and the normal wolfshift gives you IAS and AR. You can not use both at the same time. They do not influence each other.
