about henchmen and map regen

1.The henchmen are lame.Is it a bug or is it normal for them to level up so slowly? I am playing on /players 16 and i am 34 and my rogue is barely lvl 7.With these stats are henchmen even useful?
2.Is there a way to stop map regen every time i enter the game? I'm not really into boss runs and i just want to test the features of the game smoothly.I can't really play without interruptions and it's stresfull to have to start exploring all over again.

Remove the map regen flag from the plugy.ini

Heh, I removed the flag but it seems that tfw launcher script overvrites it?
Any other suggestion / advice ?

No matter what we do, somebody won't like it. I disabled certain features in plugY and (unfortunately in your case) static maps is one of them.

No worries, :) I can leave leave with static maps although it would be cool if those could be editable in PlugY.

Playing atm ama and enjoying Mod very much.

Thx for info, although it will not be of much use for me. I tend not to change something that already works well, and it seems that prezent version that folowed with TFW is working just fine :).

In this case that is a good move. The mod is rather particular about the files used to run it.
