Skills - newbie question

Post by DeusExAnimo » Mon Oct 07, 2002 2:36 am

I just downloaded the v.3 Seasons after mod for the first time.

The SA home page says that you get 3 skill points per level up, with a 40 point-per-skill upper limit.

Why did I only get one skill point?

P.S.: It's surprising to run out of the Rogue Encampment to see three champion skeleton archers waiting...

Hi DeusExAnimo :)

The problem you're having is because the dll files that come with the mod are not properly installed. Besides the mpq file, the mod comes with .dll files. Make sure you're following the correct installation instruction for the .dll files, and your problem will be solved ;)

As Alkalund said the .dll files are not installed correctly.

I've followed the instructions to the letter, with the D2 mod shortcut starting in the seasons after folder, with its MPQ and 3 DLL's.

Nevertheless, I still only get one skill point per level. It is still playable, only a titch harder.

The problem may be the folder name is different in the shortcut or that the Blizzard .dll's are still in the D2 root directory.

I'm only guessing though :(
