Hello Guys,

I have created two new tiers of items called Epics and Collectors. They have a new "normal" base item and then a variety of unique options.

For Example:

Collectors Bone Helm (Normal Quality) -> Collectors Unique Bone Helm (Unique Quality)

Now I only ever want the Collectors Bone Helm to spawn as a unique, never as its Normal Quality.

I am using this column in Armour.txt

--------------------------------------------------------------

unique
1 = only unique version
0 = no restrictions

This is used by quest items, to ensure there's only a Unique version of the item.
If a non-quest item set this column to 1, then only Unique versions of this item will spawned.

--------------------------------------------------------------

As well as setting the unique column in TreasureClassEx.txt to 1024.

Unfortunately, and whilst it is rare the item sometimes drops as its normal quality.

Does anybody have any idea how to prevent this?

Kind Regards,

Kieran

Make sure nolimit is set to 1 in uniqueitems.txt, also level has to be 1 or else rares will spawn if clvl is too low

They are all set to 1 and the level in uniqueitems.txt is set at 100 and in armour.txt / weapons.txt they are also set at 100.

Monsters that drop them are set at level 100+ too.

Ok so it sounds like you have to change their item types. So duplicate helm row and set equiv1 to helm. Then make sure the new helm row has 0 in the treasureclass column. This will prevent armo102+ from choosing these items. Unfortunately you'll have to do this for each itemtype.

I see, thanks mate!

Going to have a dig around before I go on a copy and paste mission :cry:

I've done this mate but I am still getting the normal quality item dropping :cry:

I'll show you an example:

Edit Again:

It appears that I only get these normal drops from SuperUnique monsters. Not sure why that is. I'm still testing.

Edit Again:

Managed to trace it down to 1 superunique that was lower level than required to spawn the unique version. Purely user error!

Thanks for the help Korelick!
