I would like to join, but there seems little interest this time around , and I'm having trouble installing 4.3 . The MPQ is giving problems when I try to copy it.

I will be joining in shortly. I forgot to make a separate folder for the 4.3 dll's. My version of Zy-El is the 4.4 beta version. I will then have two version of Zy-El (4.3 and 4.4 beta). I will not take part in the tourney with 4.4 dll's since there are quite a few updates to the mod.

SirGallahad: You may want to create another d2 folder and use the script launcher to launch the mod. That way you will have both versions.

You will notice some changes when doing the insane levels .

Hey, I'm an old pro at this remember? . I tried to extract the MPQ from the zip and it gave sector errors. Downloaded it from fileplanet and it extracted fine but when I tried to copy it to the memory card of my phone to take it to work, it did not work, so I put it on my flash and it was fine. It's up now. How do I enter my character into the tournament? I started a HC barb named Hong, untwinked of course.

I played WoW with my 4.2b softcore Amazon and there doesn't seem to be any difference. Is the fact that the Immortals are actually Immortal now the only difference? Is it just me or do the Chimeras give less experience or is it just my high level? My level 3555 bowazon only gets 2 levels per chimera now. They die like they used to [/url]

Yes the immortals are almost immortal now.

What is worse than losing a level 2k+ HC character (did that)? Losing a level 2 HC character. Unfortunately Hong was lulled into a false sense of security after getting lucky with 2 chipped skulls from his chip scrolls and a bunch of socketed items to start with incl a 3-socket spear.

Found Hands of Broc by killing a skellie at players 8! This is like a Zy-El artifact to a level 13 HC barb

I also found a 'Short staff to war staff' scroll and got this out of it. Nice damage, but too high level. Got 12k gold for it though. I'm rich!

Hey Hans, when are we gonna see ur character and when are the other guys updating theirs . A bit of 'competition' is good for the soul

I have decided to not hire a sidekick until level 15. That's the highest level (I think) you can hire them at Charsi. They take forever to level up so the higher you can buy them the better. I did the Hell Outer Steppes with my HC sorc last night and my sidekick levelled THREE times. I was I started at players 127, but the fire-immunes are hard to kill so I switched down to players 4. Still levelled up pretty quickly

I didn't see this properly the first time around. Are you playing on high Players X, such as 64? There was a bug I fixed in v4.3, but the method of the fix meant some monster experience would be affected conditionally.

Does that mean they give less experience? And we're already losing all that experience from the immortals . I did come up against immortals and strangely enough their experience goes down to about 25% then it stays there no matter how many quills of arrows I throw at them.

I also noticed that some of the chimeras still die in one shot and some of them die without giving any experience, so there is still something buggy going on there.

PS. I always do suicides at players 127 except when I play necro.

Thanks Hans .. tho it is not as much fun without Al ... he was the one that kept me going when i kept on dying and also taught me allot of stuff .
Also just so i don't mess it up do i need any special version of the mod or .. ?
As far as i know i have 4.3 ? Anyway i will download the newest version available on zy-el website .

Guess i will try a necro this time , haven't played one in a while .
Also i might update the wiki .. i think i was higher in level when i quit playing the Mentaldom ... just let me check Diablo ( i still have it installed o.o )

If only i could remember why i suddenly quit Diablo / Wikia ...

When are the other guys gonna update their tournament pics? For all I know you guys are running around in Nightmare while I'm still stuck in the blood moor

I'm currently level 18 and doing players 127 runs to try and get a poster or 2 together. So far I've got 3 sets of 2 and waiting for duplicates to reroll for that elusive third . I Found 2 gem shrines, so I now have 1 flawless skull . If it wasn't for the fact that I sold a skull I got from a 'jewel to standard gem' scroll I could've had a perfect skull .

I haven't found a decent weapon yet so I'm stabbing monsters with a rare set of javelins (no repair costs ) and I can handle anything in the bloodmoor at players 16 to 32.

Im still in CP myself, about lvl 30 now, 10 more levels and I get wolves

By coincidence, I'm play-testing a Dru as well. Found the Wolf and Bear too similar. So, for 4.4, I've increased the AS for the Wolf and increased the damage for the Bear. Slowed the movement speed for both - found it too hard to target monsters while running.

Anyway i will start in 10 minutes or so after i finish re-installing D2 LoD + Mod .

I don't have much time to play so I'm only level 25 now as you can see on the Wiki. Other guys are still level 1 . I've changed my weapon to a normal scepter socketed with 3 Ith's, so it has 8 to 75 damage now. I'm handling blood moor at players 127. I've been 'lucky' with gem shrines as I now have a Perfect Skull and another normal skull which I've made with my chips. I've also got 4 sets of 2 minor poster frags. I want to finish at least one before I head to Cold plains. I had a narrow escape at my first attempt in Cold Plains as one of those ogres almost killed me, so I'm being extra careful. I also got a Cub scout ring from a scroll which gives +75 life which helps a lot

One thing HC characters should watch out for is the Might aura on a boss. Almost got myself killed by the minions (fallen). Had to run for my life
