one small problem....

wazzup guys,

i just installed the latest dark alliance version,

and i really enjoyed playin' it...

i'm still level 2 (i think)...

it feels like a new world to explore...


on to what i found:

here's the situation.

*i created a character (sor)

*went outside the camp whacking everything on sight

*after leveling i portaled back home

*trained a fire and magic skill

while reading other skills i decided to check what i got,
then i re opened the trainer's window again to read some more...
then i clicked my left skill icon (the one near the Health Bubble)...

and this is what happened

*the trainer window closed... but i could not click any object / npc
open my inventory or whatsoever

*one cool thing about this is if you approach charsi / gheed , everything returns to normal

*i repeated that same state just to find-out many other things...
i did the same stuff, went in to that unclickable state again, walk close-up with akara (just to try if she can dispell that state) but it didn't work... it seems gheed and charsi could dispell that state....


idea:
maybe a ping from an npc could remove this state


are there any coming updates for the DA?
it is really a cool mod...

i just wish there are speech sounds too

This is a bug in the preview version menu code that causes it. In next patch that get released to public this will be fixed. The current internal verson of DA have this sorted. The menu code have been rewritten from ground.

The problem is how submenues lacked close down the menu correct. You can press esc to get out of this manually.

A pre alpha version is in work. Even if it's quite long before it's ready for public. But, alot have progressed since preview version

Speech require someone to talk the new text. This isn't a high priority area. Even if I've implement a few new speech in the current internal version. But, that's been for special events.
