just started, need help

hey, im a 29 javazon, but i cant kill anything at all in act 3? the mobs just completely owns me, and i got one of the "key of the unique" but it only makes my items yellow? :SS

Any tips on how i can lvl up quick, or get on with the game?

Overall need some help, and what skills should i choose etc? :S

Hi pal,

amazon is actually the easiest starting character, but can be quite difficult at first until you can start maxing out javelin hail (your main skill!) especially having items that deal enough dmg are kinda tricky.

I'll gladly give some advice tho.

1) Lvl29 levels best in Canyon of the Magi. That's where you should aim to lvl until maybe your mid 30s.

2) once its unlocked, invest in javelin hail and help it with some javelin mastery.

3) Try to get a "the smith" soul. There r actually 4 chances for this one in A1. "The smith" himself and the 3 stooges who hide in the cave in tamoe highland lvl 2 (it's a ready made lvl2 so the path is always the same).

4) if you run out of mana often try to get souls with manaleech. Especially with "fend" you're likely to be back to full mana in no time and then can keep on using javelin hail. Btw javelin hail can leech as well.

5) The key to the uniques can only produce uniques if the ilvl of the unique is 70% or smaller of your current characterlvl.

6) it's a good idea to check out www.nezeramontias.com as there's plenty of additional info, cube recipies, a database etc... that can help you get the best out of your character.

Just got the javelin toss thingy at lvl 36, it almost does no dmg, and do you know what souls give mana steal? :s it uses so much mana -.-

Javelin Hail uses the weapon damage as well as the small amount on the skill description.

It uses a lot of mana since each javelin can leach life and mana. The skill is really good and powerful when you have the gear.

I do not recall which soul has mana leach. You may want to use some gems or runes that either help with increasing mana, mana leach, or mana per kill.

Okay, excuse me, any tips on where to grind for weapons or anything, since the hail deals no damage at all with my current weapon

Also, should any of you happen to know a place to get a no cd for this patch? All i've tried so far still requires me to use my expansion disk once, but since i installed over battle.net i don't really have the cd's -.-

I would farm for gold and then buy potions and flawed gems and create rejuvenation potions and then create one of the stones that adds damage. Add that stone to a charm. If I remember correctly that in 1.09 it will add a level requirement. The good news is that you can create blank runes that will remove a level requirement by one.

I would also look into getting a golem bottle and equip that on the shield slot. You will get a good tank.

I would go with the strike stone since it adds physical damage. I also think that Strength and Speed stone would be of help as well since they will add strength and dexterity.

enchanted ring means it needs to be magic/rare/unique/set. I think it may also include crafted. I do not remember if Nez has crafted recipes for rings. It does not include the white rings. White rings will be your end game gear since you can add many good modifiers to them using special recipes for the white ring/amulet.

If you can handle the pit that is in Act 1 Tamoe Highlands. Level 2 has an area with many gold chests and a few good unique bosses. I would do that area at players 8 if you can manage it.

I just got through act 5 recently, level 66, everything in normal is extremely easy, even ball was easy, i have problems in the kagero dungeon tho and cow level, and in nightmare i just get smashed...

any tips at this spot? just grind something or what? :/

My damage is insanely bad, i only deal 50-200 dmg with my javelin toss thingy... :/

and where can i get these 3 items:

Space fragments
Shift Glyph
Divine emerald

???


Btw, if i get an elite version of my javelins, what do i upgrade after that?

I would farm one of the red portal areas in act 5. Lots of gold drops and many sets and uniques drop. You may have problems with dealing the mobs with the mana.

Space Fragments will drop in nightmare from time to time. The best place for it to drop is in the Gauntlet in any difficulty.

Hmm okay... but is it really worth it??.... grinding gold seems really slow... and the damage bonus is so small?

isn't there some quicker way, or more efficient way? :S it seems really slow, and requires lots of gold O.o

Nez is notorious for the grind especially at the start.

Cow level and the Kagero are high level areas and will require good gear.

Got nothing for gold find... :/ havent found a single item or anything that gave that -.-

But, if i started out with a "normal" javelin, then used a space fragment, dolls etc and made it into an "exceptional" item, now i need 1 more space fragment to make it into an "elite" item.

once i get this "elite" item, how do i get it to be unique? so far the unique keys only make items yellow, they dont make them the unique color because im too low level.... when will the unique keys actually become usefull?

and my only problem in kagero so far is mana burners...

Unique keys will only convert an item to an unique if you have high enough level to make the unique.
You would have to calculate your level when using the unique key since it is only 70% of your level when it rolls. Many of the uniques in Nez have a higher item level than in LoD.
What I do is for every 10 levels of my character I would count 7 level for the unique key. It is a quick and simple method to gauge the item level of the key to make uniques.

For gold find I would go with Tarnhem Helm and the unique chain gloves. that will help with GF. There is also an unique grand charm that has gold find on it.

Use the key on a magic Skull Cap. You should have no problem with the Unique key.

The uniques in Nez should be found in the document files that came with the mod or in a section on the link that gogodanny gave you.

You can also use PlugY with Nez. That mod will give you the item level of the item if you enable it in the PlugY.ini file.

i want to make the recipes for making my "normal" unique weapon into an "exceptional" unique, and then into "elite" unique.

I need shift glyphs and divine emeralds, which are the hard part of getting, im guessing^^

i got the shift glyphs from kagero, but i cant find out where i get the divine emeralds? could you tell me how to get those?

so, how do i get:

divine emeralds and Spirit Energy?

I would buy the Perfect emeralds and then upgrade them to Divine. If my memory is correct they do drop but it is quite low. I think the best place might be the Gauntlet.
