New Animations
Here are some new animations for you to use in your mod from Jetaman and I.
Jetaman has taken animations from Golden Land 2 and Arcanum and converted them into GIFs.
I have taken his GIFs and converted them into useable animation tokens. Each token is mod ready. Simply add the provided animdata lines and token to your mod and enjoy.
Jetaman's profile can be viewed here.

FYI, I have added each of the animations below to my mod and they work well here. If you get any issues, let me know and I'll take a look for you.

I can archive these animations securely in my host in case they get removed. If Trevor allows ofcourse.Lurix" wrote:These need to be archieved and saved into the file center, by someone.

Re: New Animations
Hey guys. I want to take a moment to say a few words of gratitude to the people who helped me accomplish this. About 2 months ago I knew nothing about animation conversion. All I had was this feeling - Don't be afraid to fail. Be afraid not to try. So I tried and here I am, 2 months after that - I can convert a lot of new animations for everyone - and myself - to use.
And first of all I want thank Okapi for his help, when I was learning to convert animations. Also I wanna thank Inertia, the guy from MedianXL forums, who is also working on his animation collection by the way (check it out here). And also Trevor who is currently doing the DCC conversions for us
I also want to make a request: It would be great to create the similar site as Infinitum with user-friendly interface to store the animations. Is anyone interested?

Re: New Animations
I personally dont. I dont think Jetaman would have any problems with it either. So go for it.Xibalba" wrote:I can archive these animations securely in my host in case they get removed. If Trevor allows ofcourse.Lurix" wrote:These need to be archieved and saved into the file center, by someone.

brilliant work guys thanks
Re: New Animations
I simply used "units" palette when converting gif to dcc in CV5. But, yes I did encounter some problems with color. In particular in this animation. First is the example of the animation as it was originally, but in the game the colors were messed up a little bit. So I found those sectors of messed up color and changed it to what you see in the second example.
Re: New Animations
It's a program for converting gifs to dcc. Here in the file centre:

Re: New Animations
Hello again everyone. Sorry for double post but I have to make a new one for what I'm going to say.
I have an announcement to make! As you can see in the first post, I was able to rip some games that allowed me and Trevor to convert a lot of new animations (from Arcanum and Golden Land 2). They're still in process, by the way, and will be released soon. But now I found a guy who writes programs for ripping games' files and with his help I gained access to tons of brand new animations. I didn't want to get into it because I haven't finished the previous animation pack but couldn't resist the temptation to browse through the files. So the game I'm talking about is The Prince of Qin and it's set in China, so there are many animations in Chinese style. But one thing that I found interesting that there are animations of characters - separate body parts. So it's possible to combine them all in one to create a brand new playable class for D2 - Samurai (or something like that). We know that Nephretes is working on a new playable class (in this thread) and Kingpin said that he was working on the code for adding a new class. So isn't this great? If evertything goes well, in the end we could have 2 new playable characters.
I'm writing this, because alone I won't be able to convert all the animations - there are soooo many of them. So here is my announcement: anybody who wants to join the project of converting animations (monsters or new character) - welcome. Together we can do this faster and everybody will be able to use the animations for themselves. This could be a community project. What do you think?
Also, there is a problem with offsets in these animations - as you can see in the 'legs' animation. It's not centered - and I can't find proper solution how to fix it. Maybe someone can help?

Re: New Animations
As none really have dig into multipart animations besides recently, this is a new ground for everyone. My suggest is check existing blizzard animns and see how they setup offsets. Also, there is a problem with offsets in these animations - as you can see in the 'legs' animation. Re: New Animations
Damn! Good job with this! We have not figured it out with kingpin yet (I guess we kind of focused on other things) so can you provide some details on how you have made it?
Although I am not entirely sure if chinese style fits with diablo 2 it will be cool to see more new class projects. You are saying that you are using ready game assets, but I hope that you do realize that you need a lot of animation for this purpose. Several kinds of weapon to start with.
I am ready to share with you the weapons I have recreated, but you would have to make use of it yourself, as I am using Blender as an software to animate.

Re: New Animations
Helo guys.
I'm here to post a little update on my work on animations. With the help of a few friends (and Inertia) I learned how to render 3d models in isometric view, to use in D2. I am working with resources from Elder Srolls games. Here is the preview of the first unit I made, it's the Lich from TES 4: Oblivion. Let me know what you think In this video you can see the different modes of the animations.
UPDATE:
Here is new video of Daedroth animation. Here I applied a new approach to camera positioning.

Re: New Animations
These animations are awesome. When you release them, could you kindly make gif versions?
Re: New Animations
Fantastic job!
I can recognize the spider daedra, xivilai, frost and storm atronachs, imp (?) and troll (?).
Can you render the remaining units as well?
