Need to restart computer to apply changes?
I'm making changes to the .txt files in the data/Global/excel folder, however they weren't applying. I restarted computer and the changes applied. I'm on Windows 10. Is there a way I can apply changes without rebooting my computer every time?

Delete all the files which end in ".bin" in your data/global/excel folder as these are the actual files used when the game is running, the .txt files simply allow the game to compile the .bin files if they are absent.

I already tried this. I realized they auto generated when you join a game. I deleted all the .Bin files but there was no changes unless I reboot.k0r3l1k" wrote:Delete all the files which end in ".bin" in your data/global/excel folder as these are the actual files used when the game is running, the .txt files simply allow the game to compile the .bin files if they are absent.

Are you running D2 a Virtual Machine environment?

I've found that even after deleting the .bin files, if I leave excel open with the file I was working on, the game will not load with the changes; try deleting the .bin files and closing your file before opening d2.
