********** D2 Modification ********** Rebirthe .01 Druid Demo Works with D2 1.10x, 1.11x By cla$$ics For questions, comments or concerns, contact me via Phrozen Keep PM or the following: email: eezstreet@live.com xfire: eezstreet IRC Nick: classics2 IRC Server: Gamesurge IRC Channel: phrozen-keep INSTALLATION - Place 'Rebirthe' Folder in Diablo 2 directory (C:\Program Files\Diablo 2 by default), but do not place the PlugY folder in Diablo 2 Directory. Install 'PlugY 8.00' into the 'Rebirthe' Folder. You can find a copy of PlugY 8.00 from the Phrozen Keep Filecenter (www.d2mods.com) under Plugins/DLL Plugins Create a shortcut of PlugY.exe and add -direct -txt to the 'Start at' line. Place the 'PlugY' folder inside the 'Rebirthe' Folder. Click 'Yes to All' if dialog pops up Features - Overview -Plethora of new items, monsters, skills, cube recipes. -Some bugs fixed from vanilla -Mortal Kombat Style skill setup for Combat Abilities. More of this will be seen as the Assassin, Barbarian, and Paladin are created. For now, Hadoken (Feral) is the only skill with this setup. You can also hold down RIGHT MOUSE with the 'Block / Breaker' selected and resist and dodge tons of physical and elemental damage. -New Difficulties - Normal, Nirvana, and Nightmare. -Game has been greatly rebalanced. -You need to rely on your lights now, as character has no light radius and all missiles have reduced light radius. -Love your Light Crossbow all you want in this version, by 0.07 Light Crossbows aren't in the game. Why not? Replace them with a more deadly weapon. Fans of Rising Moon (Rebirthe pre-alpha that got wormed) will be familiar with the weapon I'm going to use. Features - Monsters -Be prepared for the unknown, traveler. Strange creatures have wanndered these lands recently, and they've likely changed the behavior of the native creatures, as well as the demons themselves. Mortal Kombat Fighting 'Mortal Kombat' or 'MK' abilities are abilities with mechanics similiar to the original fighting game Mortal Kombat. A brief example: Hadokens, and most new missile abilities; will leave you undefended for 12 frames (.2 seconds). During the period of undefendedness, your resistances are lowered by 50%. So thus, it may not be wise for you to spam Glacial Bomb etc. while surrounded by a pack of Fallen. Items will also play a significant role in utilizing your abilities. Since most abilities do crap for damage, it is important to wear items like 'Amulet of Hadokening' or 'Defender of Swift Returns'. If you find yourself surrounded by enemies, Block / Breaker Ability is an important defensive skill. Hold down RIGHT MOUSE to block incoming attacks. Your Resists are at their maximum and your Defense is raised by 20000 while blocking. Beware, though. Blocking is not ideal against Bone Mages. Features - Items -Many new cube recipes -New cube concept - Level up your 'Black Hole' to gain access to more cube recipes. -Elixirs are back. But their less potent. (Elixir of Demon Bashing, for instance) -Herbs, Sand, and more reagants. -Tons of new Prefixes and Suffixes -Item Stats are now mostly oriented towards increasing skill damage (Like +50% to all Hado damage) Skills -Druid- Elemental Volcano (Lvl1) Volcano has lowered damage, more synergies, and a lower level requirement, as it is now a base skill. (Synergies with Wildfire, Armageddon, Molten Boulder, Fissure) Molten Boulder (Lvl6) Damage and mana costs unchanged from vanilla. More synergies. (Synergies with Wildfire, Armageddon, Volcano, Fissure) Local Warming (LVL 6) Boosts your Cold Resistance by a subtle amount. Good for if you have extra points that you don't want to waste. Fissure (LVL 12) More synergies, but other than that nothing new. (Synergies with Wildfire, Armageddon, Molten Boulder, Volcano) Ice Age (LVL 12) Ability that freezes targets for a while. Does no damage, and somewhat low mana cost. Increased points lower the mana cost. Thunderstruck (LVL 18) Strikes the area around you with lightning. Does tons of damage, if it actually hits. Increased points add damage. (Synergies with Ice Age, Local Warming, Tornado, Hurricane) Armageddon (LVL 24) Damage has been increased, level requirement lowered, more synergies. (Synergies with Wildfire, Molten Boulder, Volcano, Fissure) Tornado (LVL 24) Improved damage and more synergies. (Synergies with Ice Age, Local Warming, Thunderstruck, Hurricane) Wildfire (LVL 30) More broad and fast-moving Firestorm. Does much damage. (Synergies with Armageddon, Molten Boulder, Volcano, Fissure) Hurricane (LVL 30) Nothing new. (Synergies with Ice Age, Local Warming, Thunderstruck, Tornado) Summoning Brilliant Spirit (LVL 1) Only needs 1 skill point. Invulnerable spirit that gives light. Essential for any build. Spiritbloom (LVL 1) Creates a nice visual display that poisons alot of enemies within a large radius, but has a hefty mana cost. (Synergies with Brilliant Spirit, Oak Sage, Heart of Wolverine, Barrier Spirit) Summon Spirit Wolf (LVL 6) An old skill with a lot of mechanics altered. For starters, you get more wolves, but you can summon these, spirits, dire wolves, carrion vines, revivends, broken promises, bears, etc at the same time. Also, does much less damage to compensate. Weaker too. You get more wolves for more points in Summon Dire Wolf and Summon Grizzly (This does not apply to bears) (Synergies with Dire Wolf, Grizzly) Summon Barrier Spirit (LVL 6) An invincible bone wall. Extremely handy if you have Bone Mages pounding at you from a distance. Only needs 1 skill point. Summon Carrion Vine (LVL 12) Unchanged from vanilla. Heart of the Wolverine (LVL 18) Their now invicible (except for when cursed or under Conviction) and can be used at the same time as Oak Sage. Summon Dire Wolf (LVL 18) See Summon Spirit Wolf for changes. (Synergies with Spirit Wolf, Grizzly) Ginseng Root (LVL 24) Now, you would assume this is a Revive clone. But it's not. For starters, the amount of monsters you have and how strong they are depends on your Carrion Vine Level (as well as Ginseng level). Also, it synergizes with Oak Sage for life. (Synergies with Oak Sage, Carrion Vine) Oak Sage (LVL 30) Same, but improved life and can summon with Heart of the Wolverine as well. Invicible. Summon Grizzly (LVL 30) See Summon Spirit Wolf for more details. Also, you can summon up to 2 bears, provided Summon Grizly is at level 20. (Synergies with Dire Wolf, Spirit Wolf) Shapeshifting Werewolf (LVL 1) This ability is evened out with volcano, yet it still renders you very vulnerable to meteors and Bone Mages. (Synergies with Lycanthropy) Lycanthropy (LVL 1) Unchanged from vanilla. Werebear (LVL 6) Unchanged from vanilla. (Synergies with Lycanthropy) Hadoken (Feral) (LVL 12) The first (and only) MK fighting ability added to the game yet. Basically a missile that pierces enemies BUT leaves you undefended (resistances are at all-time low) for .2 seconds. Does a moderate amount of damage. Smash (Feral) (LVL 12) Stun nova. Hefty mana cost, long delay, but long stun effect. Can stun for up to ten seconds. Two second delay. Presignition (Feral) (LVL 18) Melee attack with low chance to convert. Low mana cost. Winter Fur (LVL 18) Raises cold resistance greatly for brief duration (40 seconds base) Shockwave (LVL 24) Does more damage. Hunger (LVL 24) Unchanged from vanilla Charge (Feral) (LVL 30) A charge ability. Very useful vrs. Bone Mages, Bone Archers, Fallen Shamans, and Regurgitators.
