Talonrage on Vacation 7/29 - 8/10

During the vacation , I'll be able to log in a few times a day here at the keep , but mostly wont be able to Mod...

Re: Original Diablo II Menu in LoD?

Yeah, real easy. Open up your D2Data.mpq file (found in your root D2 directory) using MPQViewer, and extract the files: gameselectscreen.dc6 trademarkscreen.dc6 and place them into your: data\global\UI\Frontend Now rename them to gameselectscreenexp.dc6 trademarkscreenexp.dc6 and run the game with t...

Re: Lament of Innocence Beta 2.00+ Thread

I didnt edit the uniques properly, thats why you are getting uncursed items. "Fixed" for the next patch, so now you'll only find cursed uniques and will need to purify them to remove cursed effects. Working on adding more unique and set items ATM. There are no active recepies or tips to be found yet...

Re: I quit BFE

Not if it's a bug. Good or bad, this will allow the modder to track down a possible bug (unless it was added on purpose). At worse, it is good contructive criticism and any feedback is good as long as you look at it in the right light.

Myself, I saw nothing wrong in how he phrased his response.

Re: Lament of Innocence Beta 2.00+ Thread

Cursed items have high selling values, but I've reduced them somewhat but not enough to make me happy. I dont know if this will ever be fixed actually, so just treat it as what it is .... more cash for your bank. Unlike Vanilla D2, cash in my mod will have a benifit, as you'll be able to purchase sk...

Re: Trouble changing cube recipes

You need to place the edited file into the Data/Global/Excel folder within the root Diablo II folder. If you dont have all three of them, then you need to create these folders (one inside the other as said above) within your root Diablo II folder. Next, you need to edit your Diablo II shortcut line ...

Re: String Colors?

I've never used his tbl editor myself, but to manually edit string tables I use these, so theres actually 14 that I know of: ÿc0 - Light Gray (Item Descriptions) ÿc1 - Red ÿc2 - Bright Green (Set Items) ÿc3 - Blue (Magic Items) ÿc4 - Gold (Unique Items) ÿc5 - Dark Gray (Socketed/Ethereal Items...

Lament of Innocence Beta 2.00+ Thread

This thread is being opened for those playing and testing Lament of Innocence Beta 2.00+. This version is more stable then the Alpha version, but is still subject to major changes that can break a character and force the player to start over. If this would offend you, I suggest playing another mod. ...

1) No, they are not compatable with either Requiem or Lament (and are part of requiem already).

2) If it runs windowed, its most likely caused via the shortcut startup. Make sure there is no -w in the target line.

Re: Some weird issues: missing Spirit of Andariel?

I've noticed this little "bug" myself while playing and it only appears in one of the four preset maps for the worldstone waypoint (I can't remember which map is bugged). If she doesn't appear at the waypoint, what you can do is set up the PlugY.ini for " AlwaysRegenMapInSP=1 " so that it respawns t...

Re: So I killed normal Diablo and recieved no Vial of Blood.

Diablo doesn't drop any vials of blood. I had set up this idea in the beta version, but removed it for the final version of the mod. Now diablo drops specific runes (as do all the final act bosses) the first time you kill them.

Set the values to something like this:

Sets = 1024
Rare =
Magic =

(IE: Leave the Rare and Magic collumn's blank)

Just a note, but automagic mods DO NOT spawn on Sets and Uniques. You have to add them manually.

Re: characters starting at level 99

I know that if you use the D2Mod System and have the Utility Plugin active, one of the params allows you to set what act and level you start Diablo II On. For instance, you could start in Act 3 at level 50 , or you could set it up to start act 5 at level 99, or any combination inbetween. This is als...

Re: some questions to clear things up

Well, you could be right about Rarity, but placing a 0 or leaving spawnable empty will disable that specific item. To test this and be sure I'm not mistaken, I've set ALL armor items (in Armor.txt) spawnable collumns to blank, except : Cap/Hat , Quilted Armor , Gloves(L), Sash(L), Leather Boots, and...

Re: some questions to clear things up

Spawnable determines if an item can be active (found or sold) within the game. set Spawnable = 0 means it will NOT drop or appear within the game. set Spawnable = 1 means that it will drop, be sold, exc. So if you want your new armor to show up within the game: Spawnable = 1 Rarity in Armor.txt dete...

Re: Code and Patch_d2.mpq

No, all .dll files must be kept seperate and placed within the "Main" folder, whether its the Root Diablo II folder or the Root "Mods" folder. Placing a .dll file within another file, such as Patch_D2.mpq, will prevent the .dll from loading (at least the one that is modified and placed within the pa...

Re: Cube Recipes In Mod

I'm not sure what type of format Brother Laz releases his mods, but if there is no cubemain.bin file with it, it's likely he didnt edit it and his mod uses the stock cubemain.txt files. To generate new .bin files, simply place the .txt files into your: Data\Global\Excel folder within your root Diabl...

Re: Old Tristram chruch and levels

Yes, it can be done but would require moderate Map Editing skills as you would have to convert the map files into d2maps. However, Onyx made a decent conversion already (and Truemage made an automap for it) , so if you want to try out his Diablo 1 Tritrim Map before trying to make it yourself, you c...

A non-coded way is to add a color code before the name of the item within the string.tbl. Re: CD problems

Two ideas come to mind:

1) Go to your local Video Game store and have the CD resurfaced. 95% of the time this works wonders for restoring worn cd's. But if it has deep groves, this probably will not work.

2) Dish out another 20$ for a new game.
