the only changes I made in Itemtypes.txt is I adjusted the Max Socket fields to the amounts I wanted but other than that it is untouched and the items still don't spawn with sockets and I have actually come across a new problem I also can not increase the socket's of existing items like Body armor ...

This is becoming a too long post for a simple thing. Read this . It's a detailed Tutorial on what you need. The Problem is I have done everything listed in the tutorial (Except for making rings charms and amulets spawn with sockets of course) and they still aren't spawning with sockets I even tried...

I've took your 2 TXTs, tested them and found boots with a socket. So your problem seems to be not the entrys in these files. are there any other files involved in this change? PlugY is updated for 1.13c since awhile ago. check our filecenter or look into plugy forum for a download. The files look fine. Make sure you don't have the files open when you use your shortcut? I have tried both but neither solutions have worked I do think it is something in the core files but I am not quite sure what file it would even be contained in
