If you figure out the source of this problem, please post it. In my own home-modding I have done nothing to the files which should affect the NPC speeches, but once Diablo dies, I have this same problem, (aside from cain's willingness to ramble on about the Horadric Cube if asked) no NPCs will speak...

I would think (and keep in mind, the vast majority of this is blindly theoretical) that one would necessarily want to keep new Acts 'vanilla' as far as the things you would do in a full Mod, so as to make it compatible with any mod. Of course there could be problems with NPCs or monsters you include...

Exactly, these are the issues I initially said such projects would require CE for (or ideally, some fancy-pants programming smarties to make the CEing possible in a softcoded way, or through a utility *wink*wink*). I never intended to make it sound easy , but crafting an entire mod isn't easy either...
