@ShakaLaka String.tbl, Expansionstring.tbl and Patchstring.tbl all have different entries. I'd advice to add new lines only to Patchstring.tbl. You have very inspiring ideas, Xaphan, I am sure the result will surpass the beta of 6.00. The d2 engine is even too cluttered for the "el grande" project you go for, so I wish you find a way to achieve the gameplay you seek with less troubles in the way.

Hello. You might want to create a specific treasure class in TreasureClassEx.txt with probability for dropping each item as you wish. Assign the new treasure class for Griswold into Monstats.txt and it should work exactly as you wish.

But I don't think colors can cause the "invisibility" issue. If used with diablo 2 "units palette" pure black is rendered invisible. ;) And, yes, .txt files do not hold the information you seek, as far as I know, so maybe hardcoding will be necessary to solve the issue. Yes it work flawlessly with some edits in inventory.txt :) You may need to blank some of the dc6 that are used when a slot is free so it's invisible, and that sgould be it. For the character is done by editing inventory.txt, but does anyone knows where to locate the coordinates for the hireling?
