This isnt your slash-n-burn D2 vanilla. You definitely have to approach this mod in a different manner. Racing through the levels is not recommended. You would be well served to go back as Undiagnosed said and farm the halls of the blind and the chamber of bone, aslo run through act 1 a couple of ti...

New question
Just wanted to know if using the -w switch in the target line of the shortcut will open the game in windowed mode. It works for .11, not sure if it works for .10.

That would probably be it. Like I said, nothing really terrible, or game-breaking, but something I wondered about.

Re: Back to Hellfire v1.00 Bugs/Feedback Thread
Ive done a little searching, and I havent found an answer yet on a couple of things: 1: Is there a way to speed up the text boxes for the NPC speech, and the tomes. 2: On some magic items, there seems to be a gap between the text describing the magical attributes of the item. This one is nit-picky a...

Re: Some questions
I cant remember, but I made it to act2 I think at level 20. Im thinking I need to go back, and make a run through the church again to level up some more. Also, I have not been having much luck in getting book drops. Ive gotten a few, but nothing noteworthy. Perhaps leveling up some before getting to...

First off, I just started playing your mod the other day and Im lovin' it! Good job all the way around! Now: #1 What is the purpose for an essentially weak character such as the Bard? I started with this one primarily because it piqued my curiosity, but Im getting my butt kicked in the caves. #2 Is ...

Re: In the beginning there was the Word ...
Seven times overkill is Biblical and part of Apocalypse so maybe we can outsmart our own Creator. Technically, according to the Bible, we are not accorded the status of 'Human Being' but are merely regarded as exterminatable vermin. When was the last time you made something that outsmarted you? I d...

Yeah, a little more info is necessary. Are you using 1.10 final, or one of the beta versions? Im currently playing it on my machine, and its working fine.

Lol, sorry about that. I usually try to be a bit more thorough than that, but got a little ahead of myself. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

I dont know how many of you may remember me. I wasnt terribly active, and its been a couple of years(I think). Anyhow, in the process of time, I got involved with a few other games, and built a new computer. I decided today that I was going to re-install Diablo II, and check out what kind of mods ar...

The link to the Ancestral Recall web site is no longer valid. A mod should look into it, and perhaps delete it.

Thanks for the tip! I'll give that a try at some point. My thanks to all of you who have contributed tips and insight. BTW, is there any word out there about Linux compatability? I hope this isn't off topic , but I heard it's more stable than windows.
I use 98SE and I used to have that problem. Was remedied by updating DirectX. 8.x was problematic; have no troubles with 9.
Did that. So it looks like I'll have to try reinstalling 98. 8-O Or maybe I'll just wait until it crashes to do so  Also tried Cashman....

Re: [1.09]Druid Summons
Ok, then is this something pretty advanced, or is it something a novice can do with some instruction? If its too much, that ok, I just thought it would be neat, esp. since a necro can have several summons at once.

For 1.10 you have to change some stuff in skills.txt and pettype.txt. I don't know what you'd have to do in 1.09 though.

[1.09]Druid Summons
A thought struck me, and I looked to see if anyone had this thought yet; and I have yet to find it , so.... How would I make it so that a druid could summon both the grizzly bear and the wolves(both regular wolves, and dire wolves). I have tried to look for it in the text files, but I'm kind of new,...

Re: LoD 1.09 freeze. Is it ME?
Try booting your computer, and using CNTRL+ALT+DEL to end all tasks except for Explorer and Systray. Then leave it on for a few hours. Come back, and see if D2 works. Give me the results of that test, and then I may be able to further help you. I did that, but it didn't resolve the issue. Is there ...
