So, you edited all flippyfiles in armor.txt and weapons.txt files and now every item has this effect? Or is it working for uniques and sets only when they are unidentified? Is there a qick way to "mass edit" the flippy dc6 files? I have looked into the files and would recommend to put a golden / green lighting pillar into the last frame. Which tool should I take for this edit?

Ah okay thx for the log. It is possible to deactivate the waypoint.dll file by editing the d2mod.ini file. Remove the line "Waypoint=Waypoint.dll", maybe it help you.
Seems an item is buggy and let the game crash. Have to look at it.

Instead of removing this button I followed Elliot_009s post: Replacing the battle.net button with Open B.net and changing callback of cancel button from TCP/IP menu. Maybe I can alter the DLL file or get the source code to undo saving message history?

I currently learn how to work with ollydbg and maybe it is a good lesson to make changes to the BOL.DLL file.
