How to run Diablo II Lod !!!PATCH 1.10!!! @ Windows8

Hey guys,

after years I wanted to start playing czech Avalon mod. This mod requiers version 1.10 of Diablo II LoD. The problem is, that I cant launch any version of game under 1.12. Every time the "CD-rom error" occures. I am rly rly desperate. Can anyone here help me? Is there any posibility to run Diablo II LoD 1.10. on windows 8 ? I tried compatibility with XP service pack 2 and run as admin and all this windows stuff. But I am out of iedas.

You may dont have a CD of Diablo II inside, thats why the error occurs. Try to put a CD inside, if this doesnt work or if u dont have a CD to your site, u can Patch your Diablo II to 1.13c/d and Install D2SE (google it), it runs every Diablo II Version without CD!

i don't have any problem with d2 1.10 on windows 8 and windows 10 ,working for me compatibility with xp sp3 and run as admin. Maybe You dont have full instalation (dont have all mpq).

I am totaly missing something. Even with D2SE when i press start button of version I want to launch nothing happens or 1.13 version starts in some cases. I dont have any f*king clue wt* is going on...

Are u starting over CD?

I tried over CD I tried without CD with core files imported to the game directory. I tried littelary everything. Nvm, making backup and reinstalling Windows + downloading all updates...

I'm sure thats not needed. Try to download Diablo II over the Blizzard site, which includes all necessary files. Then install D2SE, it should work. I use to play with this on Windows 8 + Windows 10 without problems.

Well... I downloaded new blizzard files, registered with my original CD keys. Installed the game, donwloaded D2SE and srsly cant run any version but 1.13. My system is reinstalled. I dont rly know. Maybe I am doing something wrong with D2SE.
