So I was looking for sprite .gifs of this game the other day and realized that I can almost never find sprites of the objects! And even when I do, they aren't in the same transparent background .gif file format like the character sprites, instead, they are attached to tile sprite sheets..
I'd like to get some of the ones like the (animated) shrines and the torches by themselves. In the MPQ editor would these be under 'tiles' or 'objects'? Do I need the D2 Map Editor to view/extract these?

They will be in the Objects folder. You can use MPQ view. Extract as .dcc files, then conver to gif with CV5. All software is in the file centre
