im getting this error when starting game

Double click on the file "8 bit graphics"

call 8bit.bat

Well, I don't know. Just do a clean install, make sure you're running v1.10 of Diablo 2, check if d2mod is installed correctly (there should be version string visible in the menu screen after you start the game). Make sure that you installed mod and patches in right place, that the shortcut is pointing into right directory and that 8bit batch renamed files right.thx !
