Rag--Questions

Post by Elad » Thu Dec 20, 2007 11:40 pm

Since this is alpha and alot of things aren't working, need to know the following:
1. Do any of the old TDD recipies work, or should I just get rid of the relic, pyramids, spheres,.....etc.? There is not much room.
2. Is there a belt or something that can hold mana and health?
3. Does imbue work, since there are no magic, rare, or uniques yet?
Killed the Smith and went to the Inner Cloister and got wiped out. LOL, those scubbus are brutal. I thought things were going too well. Will try to run past them to the waypoint. Probably will take 4 or 5 times.

1. Not all of them are in yet. Bugs are the priority :( Go throw em, they sell well anyway ;)

2. No belt, I'll be working on getting the potions to stack after we all get it stable. You'll notice that potions currently are 3 times as effective as in vanilla, and the effects last over twice as long (so a longer, stronger heal.) This makes it so we don't need to have a 'belt'. I'll reduce the dropping rates for potions somewhat in the next patch if you feel you are getting too many. I could always add a 'belt' like accessory to the mod.

3. Not yet, I guess it will either crash or give you an exceptional.

You best bet is to stock up on 'heavy' armours for anything that is over powerful in act 1; although, I will look into it for you. Notice you have a choice between 'flee' (aka D2 style defense,) and damage reduction style armour.
I choose my physician and my clergyman, thus indicating my sense of the quality of their work. By all means, also, choose your modmaker; that is the proper reward of the good modmaker, to be 'chosen.'

Thanks again for the help.
Ran past them to the waypoint. Finished Act 1 now just ready to start Act 2.
Since this character is a Mage, mana is my big problem. I go through it too fast. Life is not a real problem although it is only 24. I will try larger mana, although the way my fireballs, etc. go through mana, I doubt it will help. It depends on how long they last. Length seems more important at this stage than amount.
These crashes seem to be random. Killed the Smith the 1st time Ok, crashed the 2nd time, went through OK the 3rd. I will wander around Act 2 for awhile.
Good luck on finding the cause of the crashes. This is the 8th different Mage I have tried just to make sure she wasn't the cause.

Edit: Haven't had a crash here in Act 2. Have the Staff, but the Viper Amulet, like Badger's is stuck in the upper left hand corner. Going back to Act 1 now that you seemed to have fixed the crashes.
Edit: Spoke too soon had a crash in the stoney field. Back to Act 2 for now.
What is X-Plate?
:x Worked hard to get a perfect Emerald for my helm. Had up
graded several times, put the emerald in the helm, now it is about 10 lvls higher than the Mage. Was after mana regeneration.

Started a Priest, most of the way through Act 1 with no problems.
Have noticed that my Merc seem to get stuck in wall, etc.every once in awhile.
12/24/07 Just had the first crash with the Priest. It is not the same signature as the previous crashes. It is the same as I had with the Fallen earlier. Was shooting a yellow Sharman near where the Smith is.
