Re: Confusion strikes me...
There is no .DLL file in this mod, there is a patcher that when ran with your normal D2 dll's will fix the one DLL to allow runewords in all types of items (i.e. magic/rare/unique).
You didnt have to type so bold I respond to all inquiries equally.
Just so you know that test run is old, feel free to check it out but the true beta is still in the works, and i advise waiting out until this. (I work on it everyday, but creating 180 new skills takes some time).
Let me know if I can help out in any other way.
Future releases will come with plugy and d2mod, so the pathcer wont be neccassary *CHEERS*

Re: Confusion strikes me...
Im at work as we speak, when I get home I can post easier directions on how to get everything working, which files do you have?
There are two version, a very eary version of mod,
and then a skills preview, so helpfult o know which one.
there should be a readme with very good directions on how to set everything up.
Sorry for confusion, next release will definately be alot easier to set-up

Don't worry about sounding annoying, though per rules of the forums your not supposed to double post, if you have something new to say and no one responded to your previous message you are supposed to edit your last post. Us admins are a bit touchy about this, so just wanted to let you know,
NOW
about the mod,
Usually you have a shortcut to diablo on your desktop,
you need to make a copy of this shortcut (I think one might have been in the download. Right click on icon and pick 'properties' on the menu that pops up and change what it says to change, the -direct makes iit run the mod files instead of normal D2.
Now all the mod files need to be in a directory inside your D2 directory.
and when you run your new shortcut and you chnanged the two things you need too it should run fine,
You might want to try a complete mod that is working great if its truely your first mod, PaganHeart is well worth it.

It says that "C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe -direct" specified in the box is not vaild.
I tried "C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe-direct" and "C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe" -direct but it says the same thing.

"C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe" -direct
Is the correct way, maybe you have diablo stored in a different folder?
See what you have in your normal diabloII shortcut to start the normal game, and just add a -direct outside of Quotes.
This is all in the target box

Dont worry the first time i set up a mod i had the same problems but once i figured it out then, i was good to go

It still doesn't work and I have no clue where the things go. Can you just explain where everything goes and how everything should work? Everytime I try it in Open Battle.net I only find gems, no runes

Re: Confusion strikes me...
Ok well first make a directory inside diablo called ORM the put the mod inside the ORM directory, then on the shortcut at properties write in target "C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe" -direct
and in start in write C:\Program Files\Diablo II\ORM
and press ok, tell us the result
