Divine gems can ONLY be cubed, they never drop. As mentioned elsewhere you need one of each of the standard grades (chipped through perfect) of the same gem type to make a divine gem.

Well that's the totally normal reaction to chipped gems after advancing beyond the lowest of levels and one of the main reasons for the divine recipes; to make chippies useful again

Clear Purpose + 2x Greed = Vampirism

The book about it said something about the secret to making it work was the greed of the human nature...

Are your Books Of Lore pre-set, or random in nature. All I've seen so far are either history of Shadowdale and tempering books.

Totally random at the start of each game. Any book can spawn anywhere with no special bias.

every time you select a character from the character screen I think. So no need to restart the game if you want new books.

I think of selecting a character as being the beginning of a new game session.

The procedure is: select a char, enter game, walk to a book of your liking, read it, click "save and exit", reselect a char, walk to the book of your liking, read it, rinse and repeat. Everytime you will get new content, well at least till you have seen most of the books anyway
Do it for a couple of hours on end and your list of recipes will be as big as the one I keep on page two.

Well, I found potion recipe out, while trying to figure out the one for constitution.

2 Agility + 1 STRENGTH = 1 Heroism.

It's in one of the Books of Lore but the most obvious clue I can give you is that both potions are very similiar in nature.

Well, Con is not a 1-2 combo of Str with any of the following... heroism, agility, greed, insulation, antidote, elven wine, gr. restoration, spirit ess., dryad/unicorn/leprechaun/mermaid/pixie blood, healing, black brew, elixir of health, cold resist, cat's grace, bandages, shocking grasp, extra healing, kasseg, fire resist, dispelling, radiant, or clear purpose. That covers every potion I have, hope it narrows it down for you.

Edit:Shoulda compared my list to yours first, you have bout everything I do, and some I don't. I would've saved some time with the cube. Ah well.

Just a question: Do you expect you'll ever get around to using all of these? In my entire D2 career, I've never used a single of those potions, except to see how they looked. So I personally see no use in keeping 38+ pages of them around.
