Maybe he just does it for fun? Anyway is it just me or wouldn't that recipe be 2 hill giant strength potions + 1 strength potion? I'd try it out, but I only have 1 hill giant.

Edit: I really doubt there's going to be a recipe that requires 1000 oils of fiery burning.

Those are all offensive potions that can be combined into batches of 25 potions. So I think if I had them exactly one after the other, then they may take up 1.5 pages.

CC you just verified what I figured out Wednesday night. I just didn't know if it was one hill giant or two. Figures I don't have any. Time to start using my Barb's find potion skill. Or find a recipe to make hill giant potions. And I know I'm not gonna get any help from Phrozen on that one, if there is a recipe for it.

Elven Plate (not light plate) + 2 jewels + Cold Resist + Greed + ?RUNE?
Corwn Shield + 2 jewels + Agility + Insulation + ?RUNE?
Human Flesh + 2 jewels + Dryads Blood + Clear Purpose + ?RUNE?

I just noticed something with the Chromatic Lens. There are two (maybe three) ways that you can cube them.

1) Three of the same element. (3 minor lightning = 1 lesser lightning)

2) One of one element, two of another element (1 minor cold + 2 minor lightning = 1 lesser lighting, 2 minor cold + 1 minor lightning = 1 lesser cold)

3) Considering that I haven't seen any others than cold & lightning, I can't verify this one. But I'm thinking (1 minor cold, 1 minor lightning, 1 minor fire (if it exists) = 1 random lesser (cold, lightning or fire)

EDIT1: Wouldn't you know it. I've been looking for hill giant strength potions, what should fall at my feet, but a consitution potion.

Chromatic lenses tricube from one grade to the next and randomly selects an element on cubing so what element you put in, DOESN'T effect what comes out. Oh and there ARE fire ones too

It's fairly safe to say with anything even vaguely non-standard you should at least try tri-cubing it

well i've now been saving all the purple i find, and have quite a few items that I have 2 lesser or 2 minors of... but nothing beyond that yet... and I've not been able to pick up a 3rd minor/lesser item to save my life...

3 ancient ankh's tri-cube to another ancient ankh, so I assume that it's the same with the rest (you cancube until you have the best possible for each item).

welll... decided to hit the false tombs before going after Duriel... and ended up swiming in items, so after tooling around a bit i have alot of stuff of varying degrees... including shifting stones of each of the first four grades... (Very cool idea btw, love becoming a fire elemental when needing to deal with those stinking fallen partisans)

EDIT: Afterplaying around a bit with the various items, i definately am liking the Grails, and wishing I could use the spellbooks on the switch and not lose the summoned beasties... Ah well, at least the effects of the Shifting Stones don't go away when you flip back...
