Having problem with D2Mod Char Start Plugin 1.1

I'm trying to use Char Start Plug-in to give some more starting goods to my character but I cant get it to work.
Is there any known bug or compatibility issue with other plug-ins?
I tried to to add to deferent stats, give starting skills or items but none of the plug-in features work.
I have Char Start version 1.1 or that is wot the readme say.

You need to make sure the "custom stat" you add is saved on character. Check your itemstatcost.txt. If it's regular stats str, vit, enr, dex. then it should work without any changes.

I know that but as I sad none of the plug-in feature is working for me :(
It's not my first time using a d2Mod plug in, I'm sure i have instated it right, I think I just have a buggy version
If any one have it and it is working fine for hem. Pleas can you send it to me by mail?

The addskill func had a problem where the skill would only show up after an update event like save and exit. Also any stats that are valshifted in isc need to be val shifted in the txt ie 10 hp world become 2560. Finally charstart doesn't allow you to add items. Check if the plugin is even loading by using the txt the plugin comes with and see if your chars start with gold

Well I found my mistake, it is working now but I got another problem maybe it is related to plugy but I post it here for now.

I made regenlife a character stat by putting
Saved 1
CSvSigned 0
CSvBits 8

I did the following change as well
Send Bits 9
Save Bits 8
Save Add 64

And I give +1 life regen with charstart plugin.

The problem is sometime after playing for a wile 5-10 min or leas plugy don't show the +1 regen life. However it is still there because my char regen life even when plugy say 0 and if I exit and enter the game again, plugy display again the right value.

Well it is actually just a display error but I would like to correct it.

This is server to client resync problems, its hard to tell if its just charstart or d2, there isn't really much you can do about this

Sorry for bumping this old thread, but it's just close to what I wanna do, so making a new doesn't seem to be a must.

I'm trying to add 792 life to characters at their start so I've this in my CharStart.txt

Code: Select all

SetStat		hitpoints		202752		0
But this does not seem to work in game, in my tests I was able to add 100 life using 2560 as a value, but it seems there's a cap on what I could use..?

You should use both maxhp and hitpoints, as hitpoints is the "current" life EX: 25/50.

try splitting it over multiple lines, also, if there is a cap, its 32767, not 32512...

Ya sorry 32767... anyways I believe the issue is that the ParamVal column is using the wrong fieldtype, word, instead of dword. I dont think it is easy to change.

Yes I looked into it, it's lot's of work to do there.
But as sir Necrolis said spliting it over a few lines does the trick ;)
