but anyway it is overpowered: lets say you have 20 such jewels in your equipt (20*3=60% ctc spikenova on striking = overpowered)
3 times 1% chance isnt the same as 3% chance. but you're right, it is kind of meh if you have many of them. each spikenova deals 1x weapon damage, triggers everything you have and cover the whole screen. i don't think we need more of these meh "on struck"-builds.

That's a difference, because this one has the tiny chance (0,0001%) to cast all three novas at the same time.
and drain life -50...
is that like -50life per secound?
It works like Replenish life +xx, just opposite... I read the exact formula some time ago, but I forgot it. :-|

nearly everybody uses it so i will explane it on this amor
lets say it needs 300str k?

if you have one 50all attribute jewel, you need 600 str!!, with 2, you need 900, with 3 1200.... and so on...
and btw, there are many items with much higher stats than RoS... (if you want to fill such a jewel in a sacred item... good luck)


maby 50 and 100 is to high.. lets say +20 attributepoints and +40requirements... so you have to fill more socks with those jewels for same bonus

ever seen diadems and caster stuff with, say 25 dex requirements, like crafted staffs? they'd need 600%*25=150 dex to be worn and will give you 1200 free stats, oh yeah.

with less stats it's a bit more balanced but i still dislike the idea somehow. kind of hmm... cheap. and remember again the diadems.

i forgot to inform you: i've edited my jewel. you were right, lvl 10 was too high. i guess lvl 5 BLS should be ok. or d'you have a different idea which poison proc skill to use? :)

It works like Replenish life +xx, just opposite... I read the exact formula some time ago, but I forgot it.
Replenish life * 256 / 25 per second. Pretty meaningless in Median though, you'll need those skills' percentage based life regeneration to balance it.

Add a mod like, increase poison duration of BLS by 100%. :twisted:

Sorry to break it to you, but yeah it is. If the level is the same it's exactly the same.

[strike]Also, I'm fairly sure that, with the exception of 100% chances, you can only ever get 1 proc per event.
No idea how this works when mixing "on attack" and "on striking" stuff though.[/strike]

Edit: scratch that. I've done some better testing now, and you can get multiple procs on the same event.
I think same skill, same slvl, same event procs stack percentages, but I'm no longer sure, and it's not exactly easy to test.

Edit 2: And with some more testing, I'm now sure. Chances add up for one single check if the skill, level and type are the same.

How the hell did that r end up all the way over there?

Some modders have a [strike]sacred group code[/strike]policy not to put their names in the mod to increase the fantasy value.

Plus, sets are organized to be class-based now... more wouldn't be necessary.
Stay away from ballet dancers with an attitude .

Doabli... I'm not doing this because I figure it'll be implemented. It's just for fun. ;)

P.S. I doubt there will be new/more sets anyway unless he can implement tier 1 - 6 ones successfully

i doubt he wants to implement more sets, anyways. and i certainly agree to him in this position. so better talk about uniques, runewords and jewelwords.

another thing is, the thread wouldn't be in sticky position if it wasn't important for this mod. "fun" sets are not important, so it's offtopic. otherwise anyone could suggest anything like spam.

let's see... what does this mod need?... nothing really, but what would be nice?

what about new cube recipes?


cube recipe: ghostwhisper

(works only with rare and crafted items)
rerolls the item renders an item ethereal.

brilliant crystal + 1 of each perfect gem + item = rerolls an item and makes it ethereal.

(item lvl 80%)

(don't know if this work, cause i know there is always alot of trouble and bugs with ethereal items... and these bugs are mostly very abusable)




another try:




cube recipe: break the law of maxima

reduces the requirements of items according to the rune you use, but then also reduces your attributes (idea taken from jewel made by xmeox)

rune + item = item with reduced requirements and attributes and increased lvl

1/4 * lvl requirements of rune = % reduced requirements.
1/8 * lvl requirements of rune = % reduced attributes
1/8 * lvl requirements of rune = value of reduced flat attributes
1/10*lvl requirements of rune = added lvl requirement of item

examples:

el rune (lvl 11) + item = item with -2% requirements, -1% to all attributes, -1 to all atributes, +1 lvlreq

xar rune (lvl 120) + item = item with -30% requirements, -15% to all attributes, -15 to all attributes, +12 lvl req

(don't know if this one is possible, too, because
1. problem: what happens when you attributes reach a negative value? bugs?
2. problem: due to roundings, some runes will have less usefullness than others. maybe there is THE rune, where the rounds lead to the best values, so the oth ones get useless. solve the problem by making the recipe unrepeatable.
3. problem: the +lvl interfers with the existing +lvl recipes, which already should cause problems at new players, when they suddently get a level requirement of 124.
but laz is great in solving problems, so if he likes this idea... i know he can solve them.)[/i]

ROFL actually i think Laz's Boots of QQ Stomping would be nice, they would add like a bazillion stamina so people could stop QQ over not being able to run all the time in median :P

Nice way to bring names into the mod. :mrgreen:
Superbeast itself has massive duration but is canceled when using healing so ... can be hard to balance. Nice overall.

Also:
Gateway is basically just another source for blink, just kinda thought if it was a kickass weapon along with blink then it'd be a lil overused and etc. So i threw a bad mod on it. So maybe its a lil balanced. Ya..know. But its not like it'll get implemented in the game anyways, its one of the worst ones i came up with, but Word of Lazarus is nice imo. :).

Is that supposed to be an aura that grants enemies CB? If so, make it "Aura that grant enemies" instead. Otherwise, please elaborate.

Also not sure how balanced all that TCDef is, especially considering you've already added oskill balance and runemaster.
The absorb would probably have to be fire/cold/lightning, maybe magic as well. No poison though, I don't think.
Maybe add some poison length reduction to make up for that.

I have a question. Does your defense change when you are recovering from a hit?

Maximal penalty to stamina should do the trick.
Stay away from ballet dancers with an attitude .
