[ FORUM MOVE ] -- Important: the 'other' new forum

The new forum at freeforums was a disaster - it was incredibly slow, to the point of not loading at all.

I've switched to forumer. You have 1 day to copy any posts from freeforums because I'm going to close it and send it back to freeforums along with an advertisement brochure for those newfangled 56K modems.

I'm having trouble signing up: the captcha flash thingy doesn't load, so I can never give the right confirmation code.
Latest version of flash is installed, I've tried both Firefox and Opera, the effing thing just won't load...
Edit: IE (*shudder*) doesn't make things better either... I'll give it a rest for an hour or so and try again after I've eaten.
Edit 2: Seems to be a dns issue.
Edit 3: ...and now it worked.

I did nothing for a while then tried again.

I'm not sure what the exact problem is, maybe one of the name servers are down, maybe they're just flaky [edit] or maybe the just changed and haven't propagated fully yet [/edit].
If you can load fgatekeeper.com you should be able to get the flash to load too.

The fgatekeeper site loads to a blank page saying \%$log ... and I don't think this is what it is supposed to say.

Anyway, this should be only temporary, and not a structural problem with their captcha. Great timing, though.

I think that probably is what it's supposed to say... I don't think it's a site intended for any real visitors, just a host for the captcha.

Well, people should be able to sign up now that I've disabled captchas... unfortunately, so will the spambots, and forumer.com decided it'd be a good idea to delete the Spam Magnet (ID #0) forum.

I'm betting on the fact that fgatekeeper will come back up and I can reenable captchas before the Zerg find it.
