1) Please be polite and friendly.
2) Please don't trade any duped/hacked items. When you trade by e-mail, please make sure to delete the dummy character you traded away. If you don't have any good items for trade, it's far better to ask for items, than trading duped items. If you ask politely, veteran players will gladly help you.
3) Please specify if your ISO (In Search Of) items or your FT (For Trade) items are HC or SC.
Posting Your Trading List
Example:
You can use other expressions like "Noir's Helm", "Level 75 Amazon unique ring", "Set Death Blade", "Some green and gold Runes", "Some Elite Set pieces", as long as the meaning is clear. In Search Of (ISO):
SC items:
Noir's Anticipation | Armor of the Wind (+2 To Amazon Skills) | Any Bow Skiller GCs
For Trade (FT):
HC items:
Runes (Ni, Se, Fu x 2, Ma, Mo, No, Te) | Jewel (+1 To Druid) | Jewel (+1 To Necro, +9 To Vit)
Sarevok Set (Full) | Arion Set (Gloves, Weapon)
When you need some or all of the items no longer, please edit the post.
Replying to the Trading List
An auction will use up a lot of posts, so negotiating by PM or a messenger is best. Please use PM or a messenger especially for questions like "Which gold runes do you have?" or "Do you take P-Gems?” Please determine how to exchange the items, too.
When both traders agree on the trading, the poster has to remove the items from the trading list immediately. The traders exchange the items. If you exchange the items by E-mail, please don't delete the PM of the negotiation, until both traders successfully receive the items.
Exchanging Items
1) TCP/IP game (straight and safer)
Traders contact by PM or some messenger (the latter is better because of real time contact). One trader makes a TCP/IP game and sends the IP address to the other. They meet in the game and trade the items.
2) E-mail (handy if the traders live in different time zones)
Traders contact by PM, and exchange their mail address. Each trader Make a dummy character and pass the items to it. Each trader quits D2, and sends the file "dummycharactersname.d2s" in the save folder by E-mail.
* You may have to change the Windows setting to have the file extension ".d2s" displayed.
* The save folder is located at "(your D2 folder)\es300r\save"
After both traders receive and confirm the items, they delete the original ".d2s" file.
