HI all i need some help

can anyone tell me how i get this mod to work sound very good and i cant get it to work i probly doing it wrong plzz tell me where i put the stuff

Greetings and welcome to the Phrozen Keep.

What you need to do is put the downloaded patch_d2.mpq in your Diablo II directory, replacing the existing one with the modded one.

Sometimes, mod authors will rename their patch_d2.mpq to stuff like dweaves.mpq or something like that. If that happens to be the case, simply unzip the file to a safe place, like the desktop, rename it(The MPQ file that you extracted from the ZIP file) to patch_d2.mpq and copy it over your existing one in the Diablo II directory.

Make sure that you're not using Darkness Weaves in conjunction with other modded characters from other mods as that tends to cause numerous crashes. Also, make sure that you're not using Darkness Weaves in conjunction with any -direct -txt mods. Good luck

Have you tried following the installation instructions that come in the the .doc file with the mod? Follow the steps carefully, and you should be fine (unless you're using a Macintosh).

INSTALLATION
DWX2 is executed through the –direct –txt method (used by developers and modders). It is relatively easy to set up and configure. Follow these instructions closely, substituting the location where you installed Diablo II for those illustrated.

· Download DWX.zip and save it in a convenient location.
· Open windows explorer and locate this file.
· Right click and drag the dwx.zip file to your Diablo II directory. (It should unzip with the folder structure intact, if not check your .zip program settings). Your directory should look something like this (Depending on where you installed Diablo II)
C:\Diablo II
--->DWX
--->Save
--->Support

· Right click and drag your Diablo II icon on your desktop (or wherever) and select “Copy here”
· Rename this icon to DWX (or whatever you want)
· Right click on the icon and select “Properties”
· In the “Target:” Line, add –txt and –direct after the quote “. (Note the –w is optional. It will run Diablo II in a window. Great for debugging/error troubleshooting, but not necessary).

· In the “Start in:” box, add ‘\dwx’ (without the quotes).
· Click Okay.

All you need to do is double click your icon and you are off!

I see. I haven't played this one in awhile. I still use MPQs to distribute everything but .txt files and -direct -txt for testing

Anyway, seeing that I'm at least 1 or 2 versions out of date, I've gotta head over to your site and download the latest one.

YEAH took me about a hour but it works

is there in new realm thing i might haft to dl to play internet and anyone wanna help me on the net if this even has one never looked yet all i know is i got the front sreen up and if it dont work ill kill my computer lol well it worked anyone here on is te a channel where dwx players go?? if not there should be

You cant play it on any 'Realms', but you could play it on open battlenet if you wanted. You would need to get some friends to play it as well and then set up the game.

DO NOT try and log onto any of the realms with DWX. Guaranteed way to hose your characters, and possibly your account.
