Search Function

Post by Kieran » Thu Feb 22, 2018 6:16 pm

Hello,

I'm sure it was possible before but at present if you try to use the advance search function to search for say a patch version it does not allow you too.

Anything with a . in it seems to be disallowed/removed.

Example:

Searching for 1.09 in Code Editing

Information
The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: 1 09.
You must specify at least one word to search for. Each word must consist of at least 3 characters and must not contain more than 14 characters excluding wildcards.

Example2:

Searching for 1.09 Classic Stash

Searched query: 1 09 classic stash

ignored: 1 09

Example3:

Searching for 1.10 Classic Stash

Searched query: 1 10 classic stash

ignored: 1 10

Decreased to 2 character minimum and set server to reindex. Will take a few hours and then we see if the server can take the load of such a huge search index

Edit:
Done so should be good to go.

Guess phpbb changed how base search works. Ill see if there is some extension that could make it a bit better once i get some time. Will be doing some crazy working hours in the coming weeks though (unless i manage to sucker someone else to working double shifts).
