Dead links

Post by colosssus » Sat Feb 04, 2006 12:27 am

Ironically this has been posted before, but it appears either it was not fixed, or the fixes have been negatted by time/fileplanet/site movement. I recently attempted to download a plugin that i could use in D2 mod that would expand my inventory. However, none of the links work properly. the packrat plugin was not found in fileplanet..similarily the ultimate plugin only showed the "subscriber" dl..for some very odd reason the free link never appeared...and i refreshed many..many times. the only working link for inventory plugins that i found was the megainventory plugin. however to use with the mod i have i'd have to recompile the mpq to add it....and i don't want to get into that if i can help it. does anyone have the packrat plugin? or a working link? thanks in advance!

FP is weird sometimes, if the dl does not work the first time, keep trying...go back and click it again, that always works for me at least...

I too am having problems with file links. I understand how to get the files per the download instructions. That is not the problem. The problem is that FP is not finding my file. I have probably increased the download counter for the file I am trying to get by 50 (though not all at once, I am not sitting there clicking it constantly). The file in question is the 8 and 32 player mods for D2X 1.08 and I do not have any options left other than posting and asking.

Things I have tried:
  • Manually searching on FP for the file. No result.
  • Clicking the download several times within a minute. No result.
  • Waiting a little while and trying again, and then repeating the above. No result.
  • Trying in vain to troubleshoot the error url thinking there might be a mistake in the referring link. No result.
Here is a direct link to the download page for the file I am desperately seeking:
dload.php?action=file&file_id=66

Thanks for the heads-up. The download button should link you correctly now.
