So this happened to me and i spent over 5 hours trying to get it to work and i figured it out.(this is all after you put in the data file in the d2 directory)what i had to do is download another mod its call 1.11Dropmod_v3.0.0 what you do is extracted it after that there is a file called DROPMOD_Start open that and type in 1 and then press enter and it will run cryptforge.

The mod works with 1.10 of D2X. It hasn't been tested with 1.11 since I halted development before the patch released.
