On one post I've checked it to say mid december. It's way past that now. So, when it is? Or is it release already and I didn't know?

This mod, like mine, also has exceeded 100MB (uncompressed) and is growing considerably. According to Joel, it is expected to grow considerably larger. This is likely the reason that it hasn't released yet.

Yep currently, three thinks have slowed the release down :

1. Lack of good internet connection. Until 20th december, i only have a 56K acces ... no way to upload a 100+Mb patch :(
2. Solme exams ...
3. The fact that i discover that I could add up to thrice stuffs than foreseen in two or three weeks.

I'm currently finishing the Act 2 and three class skills before releasing it don't worry ...

So that means, a long time if you're still on a2.

Oh well. Yes, I've heard that it's 300mb+.

not at all. he said he was doing the skills for the act 2 and 3 mercenaries.

i believe he has everything else pretty much ready.

Currently, hirelings skills is the last of my tasks !!
I've to finish some big exams before taking abroad.

The core mod is here but most of my dll have to be redone and some maps need tweaking ...

I was speaking of releasing the THREE FIRST ACTS playable ...

OK, release date ...

The current plan is easy : finishing First chapter (Act1-5) and release them with all the necessary mechanisms to simply plug the chapter 2 and 3 as patch.

So people will only have to dl a 180Mb installer at the first time.
Then, when the new chapter will arise, another 150Mb at each time.

For the date, well, I don't know, but currently, the Act1 is almost Ok, Act 2-3 items are done, and maps for act 2-4 are planned.

Installer... hope I won't see information "this file is corrupted. please obtain a new version of this program", like in other mod's installer, which name I won't mention there.

Well basically it's just a self-extracting ACE archive.
You extract it, and launch install.bat, all should be fine after that :)

excellent almost perfect mod!!!!!!!!!! :mrgreen: :mrgreen:the interface is cool, just like baldur's gate mod...... :cry: :cry:and the most improtant thing is the gameplay,so plz give the mercenaries more new magic skill...... :P we are all waiting for downloading....... ;) ;)

Darkelfsina... there're not going to be normal mercenaries, there are going to be pets which are gonna morp as you change acts.

Sorry I cannot say may about it...I just don't remember wich pet is planned for which act. I believe it's more specified in "pets & their skills" topic. But I believe that you've found that topic already...
