mele39 weap39 difference?

Post by strafano » Fri Feb 23, 2018 1:11 am

I noticed that certain items fall in more than one type of items. For example bill weapon is both in weap39 and mele39. Does this difference affect the drop rate of bill in the treasureclass file since both weap39 and mele39 are present?

Weap39 is all weapons with a level of 39 to 42 in weapons.txt.

Mele39 works the same way but only includes only items with mele type or a subtype.

That means that all mele39 weapons are already included in weap39 group, am i right?

That is correct. All melee weapons have a chance to drop from both.

Maybe I'm wrong here but I thought melee corresponded to itemtypes that were 'mele' and 'weap' corresponded to the same itemtype.
