changing item appearance on char

Hi, this one seems pretty simple, I wanted to change necromancers shield appearance on char to look like boneshield so I changed the "alternategfx" column in armor.txt info "bsh" for all 15 necro shields and they ended up looking transparent, what is causing the problem?

I though about doing it manually by switching animation files but i see that bone shield has 14 files while necro shields have 16...
No one really knows why the animation is transparent and how to fix it?
