Altering shapeshifting palette using monstat

Post by GreenHeaven » Fri Oct 15, 2021 8:34 am

Hello !

I am toying with the shapeshifting abilities. I cloned werebear and werewolf.

Basically I want to turn into a darker batdemon, with a different color palette than the "classic" batdemon1 in monstat.txt which is the orange batdemon from Act II. I tried several monsters but I always shapeshift into the same orange color palette.

Is there a quick way to change it from monstat.txt ? Thanks !

Edit 1: I found a way to change the palette using the colorshift column. Yet it is different from using the monsters palettes. If you got a better method I gladly take it.

You could try with states, change the colorshift column

Basically that's what I found out ! Thank you for your support ;)

Now the Nec class morphs into a dark bat, looks quite evil with the cloaked overlay1 ^^
