It's been quiet for 3 months now, how the development goes? Can't wait to test it, would love to try to make a new UI with 32bit colors available. If there's a chance to get into the beta test stage, I'd love to participate.

It's still in close alpha stage, I'v been streaming vanilla gameplay with it (newest build) a few days ago.

Necrolis, how about he tools? I am particularly interested in encoding tool for expanded DC6 format. Is it under development or you haven't started it yet? Will it come after the gfx engine or with it? Thanks.

as can be seen from the main post its very much under dev, but the tool handles more than dc6, it also does dcc, cof, tbl, dt1, ds1 and a few other formats. The tool will follow a few weeks after the public alpha as it needs to do its own private alpha.

Can you also tell me which image formats are preferred for conversion of animation? We are writing a script for 3ds max now and my programmer needs to know.

as I have mentioned quite a few times (and again should be in the main post): png, bmp, gif, dds, etc. Basically anything supported by stb_image.

Thanks for replies. I have one more question
Will the new encoding tool use the same process for offsets settings as Cv5? If not what will it look like?

It's been a long time. Is there any news?

Nothing that warranted any form of update: basically been busy replacing the in game options menus so that they accommodate the new features and save them separately (per mod) and then replacing the last bit of the tile code that does the substitution of rarity tiles (it not uses 20% less memory, loads 4 times faster, finds tiles 6 times faster and unloads three times faster - ironically this means that D2GFEx might even be useful in increasing hosting performance).

And thinking about it, Oculus has gotten a lot of major work done on it, its close to being ready for alpha testing, and can replace DrTester, Cv52, tbl editors, and soon palette, cof and animdata editors.

Aw yes! I'm crying tears of joy right now. Best news this year for me! (with dreamland comes close as 2nd ofc)
I assume alpha testing is private only for chosen users, not public, right?

The alpha testing will be public, because I don't have to worry about a lot of the concerns that I have with D2GFEx.

As soon as alpha is released this is going to revolutionize D2. God's work friend.

This is the most wanted mod for Diablo2.
Maybe you should consider use the AI upscaled HD textures from here.

It's going to be a perfect Diablo2 HD remastered.

I already know about this; something I have interacted with zomprd about already. But until everything is working as it should (and the accompanying tooling is encoding 32bit images), I am not bugging anyone about up scaling textures (especially since there are still a few kinks to be worked out).

That being said, I need to fix a few issues in the rendering with wall tile fades and a potential error in the lighting and public alpha should be ready.

Do you plan to support 1.13c on Alpha? I would love to use this with existing mods.

No, alpha will be 1.10 only; when once all the features and requirements are confirmed to work 100% I will look at porting to other versions.

I am not sure what this has to do with my project? More importantly what everyone seems to be missing is this is a video that was upscaled, its not a mod.

Give some screenshots please. Is this a modmaking tool (harvester)? Includes multiple tools? Or is it more than a tool? Just to start offering something to understand what it is.
