Ah, I forgot that macs don't have a | button.

Is the page made yet? I would love to contribute what I can with my late Act 1 knowledge.

I've been working on the wiki for the last couple of hours. Base Armor and Base Weapons links have been added to the Items page on the Front Page. From there everything is broken down by category. So, I've type in all the main pages, and I've finished typing in item names for Helms, Circlets, and Armor, but that's about it so far, The columns are there for Def, Dur, Req Lvl, Req Str, and Soc. Oh, I just realized the some weapons will need an added Req Dex column as well.

All I'm doing at the moment is just getting the names in from the Arreat Summit. I'm sure there will be a few mistakes, but Al, Hans, or whoever that knows the correct names can make the corrections.

-------

EDIT: All of the Armor item names have been entered. The Elite Barbarian Helms and the Elite Paladin Shields were goofy for me and didn't make a table. Everything looks right in the text boxes, so I don't know what's up there.

My goal is to get all of the weapon names entered by next weekend.

EDIT 2: I plugged in some numbers from items that dropped for me during a session tonight. Obtaining the defense ranges is going to be tough. Al, I hope you have those figures and can plug them in yourself as well as socket info.

I don't like the way the 3 separate tables looks, so I'm going to play around with having one table tomorrow and identifying the different item tiers via background color — similar to what's achieved at the ES Database.

------

EDIT: The Helms wiki table is beginning to approach the look I'm after. My problem is distinguishing Normal, Exceptional, and Elite base items. When I try and change the background color for the different sections it messes things up. If anyone wants to tinker with it that would be great.

-------

EDIT: I was a busy man this morning and finished all wiki armor tables. I'm pretty pleased with the way they look, but there still needs to be some way of distinguishing the different tiers. But, at least it's done and I've printed out individual sheets for me to start filling in the info. The weapons tables is quite daunting right now. There are so many more weapons than armor. And there probably needs to be more columns as well, well you take into account things like base weapon speed, range, etc. I have no desire to get into weapons at the moment and will focus on completing as much of the armor info as I can with Wolfram.

Thank you, Hans. I've been too busy enjoying Wolfram the last couple of days to make any additional headway on the tables. I really need some help with the defense and socket numbers, so if any of you know that info please add it to the wiki armor tables. Also, I was wondering as I was typing in some of the class armor — like the Necro Shrunken Heads — why the required levels were so high. And then it dawned on me — it's the staffmods that bumped them up. So, I have no idea what the required levels are for white items with no staffmods.

I'll try and get to making the weapons table soon, but I have more progress to make with Wolfram.

Are you a member of the wiki Mirageke. If you are not create a user account and then ask to join the Zy-El wiki and one of our Organizers will approve your membership.

Thanks for bringing the information to our attention.

I do not have much time to add that information right now.

I made a new page trying to find out all the crafting varients. I'd appreciate any help, since I only have but a few crafted items right now, and not many supplies.

You beat me to it — I was going to link your page at the Crafting Recipes page I reworked a while ago.

I would like to take the time to inform all Zy-El players that the Zy-El Wiki will be moving to a new home at Diablo Wiki. We were in discussions since the 15th of January. The new home will offer us much more options than the current wiki can.

I do wish to say thanks to wikispaces for providing us a home for the last few years. You provided us with a reliable service.

I recommend everyone who is a member of the Zy-El wiki to go to Diablo Wiki and create an account.

We have started some discussions on how to move to the new home here and here

Any questions you can post here or at the Diablo Wiki forum link I gave earlier for the Zy-El move.

I have currently promoted a member of the Diablo Wiki system ops team as an organizer to make the move smoother.

As the latest post in either of the threads that Hans mentioned on diablofans.com was in February of this year (it is now June), I am a little concerned about the speed of the move. Yes these things take time but to have no posts in 4 months and no obvious port to the new home I think that we should stick to the original Wiki until such time as there is some visible progress on the move.

I am not trying to put a stop to the move, it has my full blessing, but those concerned in moving to the new site need to be fully committed and at present I see no evidence of that. Yes, our original Wiki has limitations and may not be structured in the best possible way but that is as a result of having an open policy whereby any member can make a contribution. Indeed I believe this is why so much information has been gathered there. We do have posting rules but since it is so "open" it is difficult to monitor and ensure we all sing from the same Hymn sheet. Also, the existing Wiki continues to be worked on by members new and old so unless someone from diablofans.com can ensure the move is ongoing I don't think anyone should feel obliged to create an account over there just for the Zy-El Wiki. If there is anything else over there you deem worthwhile of creating a membership for then go for it.

Happy Zy-Elling :)

Your points are taken Al.

I will need to see about making time to add more things to the Diablofans Zy-El wiki.

I just stopped working on it when no progress was made on other things. things are starting to flow different so may be able to zyel more, we will see

read on the wiki that they are wanting up to put more effort, though theres only 1 template made and thats for runewords

the templates are universal for the wiki so

using a infobox one for the items will work cause it can be both runewords, uniques/sets/items

this is being done in the mxl section atm so i can prob see what i can do.

oh and its zhuge from dwiki

but thing is I dont have any inkling how to even really work with anything that is set up for the wiki in general

set me up with a few things that showcase how to use most of the templates then i can start working on porting stuff

i dont have the time to really try and look around and hope what im doing will work

ok for items

http://www.diablowiki.com/Template:Dawn_%28Median_XL%29

as a example

{{Item
|name= Dawn (name of item)
|style= {{{style|}}}
|color= gold (color of text)
|baseitem= 1-6 Socket Weapons (item type and number of sockets)
|image=
|ingredients = 0-5 Jewels + {{Mxl|El}} (ingredients if a rw/craft item)
|basestats= Level Requirement : 11
(other text)
|uniquestats=
5% Chance to cast level 7 Celerity when you Kill an Enemy
+(31 to 60)% Enhanced Damage
15% Faster Hit Recovery
(101 to 150)% Bonus to Attack Rating
10% Bonus to All Attributes
(31 to 60)% Extra Gold from Monsters
+2 to Light Radius
(item properties)

|hidebaseitem = {{{hidebaseitem|}}}
|hidesetitem = {{{hidesetitem|}}}
|hideuniqueitem = {{{hideuniqueitem|}}}
|hideimage = {{{hideimage|}}}
|hideingredients = {{{hideingredients|}}}
|hidebasestats = {{{hidebasestats|}}}
|hideuniquestats = {{{hideuniquestats|}}}
|hidesetstats = {{{hidesetstats|}}}
}}

this type is easier than the old template which was very bulky.

Is there a way to do the templates in a horizontal fashion similar to arreat summit? think it will work better that way for runewords at least

not really once we got a main template set up we can just plug in data and use
s to space it out.

whats wierd is that even with the other mod sections at dwiki (mxl, es, zyel) they all use derivatives of the base templates.

take a look at http://www.diablowiki.com/Lum_(Median_XL)

the end result of each type of runeword (2,3,4,5,6 soc) will be spread out like that.

For those with the power to edit the wiki:

In the Links and Downloads section, there were no pages for actual downloads (aside from the mod download and manual download in the links section). Now there are.

I have added two download links to separate pages. One is for premade characters (.d2s and.d2x files) which has personal stashes you can "raid" from. The other is for the shared stash files (_LOD_SharedStash.sss)

When you upload your files, please do the following:

For the character files, put the name of the character as the title in .zip format. If you want to add multiple characters, see below.

For the Shared stash files, put your PK handle (Al-T, Hans, JrEye, etc.) as the title of the .zip file. This will tell others whose shared stash it is.

Good luck and Happy Zy-El'ing

For something like this I think you should consult with the other organisers of the Wiki first. It is one thing to help a friend out via PMs and emails but I have to say I am dead against making any character files and PlugY stashes publicly available.

I think you should ask the rest of the organisers what their views are on this before proceeding any further.

Nice hearing from you Vern.

I agree with Al in regards to having character files and plugy stashes available from the wiki.

It seems that I put my foot in my mouth :oops: . I want to find out from people how they would receive this, and I've already had two no votes. What is the status of the proposed move from early last year? It seems like that is dead in the water, but I just got back last week. I'm a little behind trying to catch up.

Anyway, I have put a warning on these files on the wiki stating to use at your own risk. What it amounts to is is cheating, which is understandable as to why the files shouldn't be used for the public.

Alternatively, the files could be sent to me via e-mail at:
