I'm not unduly worried as there will be plenty side-quests in the future for me to catch up. There isn't a huge score difference anyway and I thoroughly enjoyed that side-quest even though I didn't post a great score

Yeah 2000 isn't bad for 300 magic find.

Me and John needed that 1000+ to ensure that every item dropped was magic, rare or unique.

I for one enjoyed it, due to the fact nobody ever explores Halls of the Dead, plus I had to resort to strategy in a couple of rooms due to the endless reviving of undead thanks to hordes of Hollow Ones. But I got a neat idea for the NM or Hell Chapter, I can write it up and send it if you want.

Smoked both Duriels on P16. Going to level up some more when exams are dealt with.

My stats after clearing the tomb:


I replaced my Folklore mask from earlier with a Folk Tiara (got a Diadem as well for later) and swapped my Pride Chain Mail for Pride Glorious Field Plate (more defense but less bonuses to life% and mana recovery). Which then I found out later I had a Holy Plate Mail which had a higher base, so I prided that. Next runeword armor I am gonna make is Oath of Sorceress out of an Elite Splint Mail (favorite armor in appearance) or Ancient Armor (defense)

As for starting Chapter 3, I can wait till it begins, but let's try to get like 1 or 2 more people finished Act 2 before we start. There are still a few people still in Chapter 1 that are slowly trying to catch up, given their time constraints.

Well, you got Charged Bolt to slay Monoliths, you need it to do like 150+ to kill them at close range. Or you could spam a Nova spell and slay them all.

Besides, all you need is the Witch Runeword and a hell load of Master CHOMs with Healing CHOMs to counter the Drain Life.

After this hurdle you should be fine.

You are going to need a few more Master Choms. 1 Master Chom increases C. Bolt by 24 damage if the spell is 16 or higher. 50 is stlll enough to slaughter Tristram though.

I had to royally abuse Charged Bolt for over 50 levels until I got Glacial Spike. Now, I don't use Charged Bolt anymore, even though it does 1.5k now.

There will be a time when I need to use it again, but for now its on hiatus.

But I think we should keep the discussion about your character in the Chapter 1 thread.

I'm taking a break before starting Act 3. I think we should wait until more people finish 1 & 2 anyway before making 3 active. Otherwise, we will also have a thread for Chapter 4 and it's side-quest and it'll be a nightmare for Hans and I to look after 4 at the same time.

It's either best to run calc.exe from Run or use a scientific calculator that will keep tabs on the algebra. Either that you through in a number that wasn't supposed to be there. I noticed something funny when you were close to John but your SQ score was 1000 off from his.

If you doing standard, just add all the points along with the 10000 from Chapter 1, then multiply the outcome by the EM.

I'm gonna take a break as well, the Doctor Who marathon and 3 exams say I must.

I've started Chapter Two, killed Radament and equipped a Magic and a Rare Large Charm (both already socketed to fill them with PTopazes). Aphelandra is lvl 74.

I made several testruns of the Chapter One sidequest (of course with equipment, I'm not stupid) and realized that there's no way to survive it - not with an Amazon. So I decided to skip it. Yeah, I'm a coward.

Sometimes, knowing when you can't do things isn't a sign of cowardice. It took me 4 test runs with equipment and no teleporting before I had to resort to stripping and teleporting past groups.

I'm actually still working on a theory for the Amazon to do it. You probably could if you had picked up a bow and got some ammo from Bone Archers.

The Barbarian, Necro and Sorceress all have easy times doing it.

I'm actually still working on a theory for the Amazon to do it. You probably could if you had picked up a bow and got some ammo from Bone Archers.

You could use the Magic Arrow skill, which doesn't need ammo. Another option could be an Amity Quad Charm for Freeze Target. And I didn't think about adding life with "Add HP to Charm" scrolls. I have now a Charm with +922 life thanks to those. Perhaps I should have tried it nevertheless. But still, even with full gear I almost died twice during the testruns, when the Knights surrounded me.

Now it's too late. Aphelandra is in Act II, she reached the Arcane Sanctuary WP, hit lvl 101 and finally got Strafe. I love that skill.

I've completed my second poster. It is ... *drumroll* ... the Black Knight, another Monty Python poster, joining the Chicken! Hoooraaay! Wowie Zowie! There's no way I'm going to reroll one of those to an album. So I need a third.

That's what I had intended to use for the Act 2 side-quest but the runes were just too high and I couldn't bring myself to spend all my gold to get them.

You would still need a bow to drop, I did get a Composite Bow on my first item drop on Floor 1. A Phoenix charm would have also sufficed as one of your 4 since the Frozen Orb shot out would be lethal to Dark Ones, provided you use it to pick them off only as an emergency.

There was always a Knights' pack inbetween the Dark Ones' swarm in the last winded corridor. Or should I better say: Knights' WALL? There was no chance to avoid them.

I still got Haruspex for now. I also still got a blank 2 socket Eagle Orb I made from a Club to Orb scroll. Hopefully, I will get the max 18 that Sibyl offers. Even if I don't, it will still have some pretty sweet bonuses.

I can always horde the gold with constant Claw Viper runs to get back some money to purchase or make a Gul rune. With a few Finder charms, I can score ~1.2 million a run, provided there are Assailants and Growlies during the run.

You can use cards when you get to Act 4 and you attempted the side quest for Chapter 3.

For now, hoard them until the time comes.

As a suggestion, you should try to get 1000%+ MF and a charm with Fire Golem or Dire Wolf charges to ensure P127 safety for the Subquest.

I'm lvl 134 and have nearly completed Act2. Played all the areas on P8. Tried the halls of the Dead on P127 to prepare for the sub quest. Surprisingly enough the killing speed was quite good - my damage is 2k-13k. Not too bad for Act2 The only thing I need is more MF and to decide if I want to do it the easy way (freeze target) or the hard way (find item skill).

Here are the required items for the Act2. Some nice magic weapon, rare charm with fire golem inside and the worst album poster ever...
And there are two more items. Wanted to make a rare ornate armor but didnt get any good stats after about 20 rerolls. In the end it ended as white ethereral with 2269 def. Spent about 7m on the armor... And finally my first elite item - helm. Believe it or not but I got that one completely free from a common scroll "any helm to primal helm" without the runeword of course

Combine both. If you have enough +skills, you can get all the items you need from corpses to improve your bonuses with a mix of magic find.

Me and John did 1000% and we got guaranteed magic on most drops.
