Paladin to Holy Swordsman/Scepterman?

He will have specific skills for when he has a sword equipped, specific skills for when he has a scepter equipped, and always has some holy spells and auras. Should I do this?

Ex. for sword skill:

Crush Punch (The doom of a planet...) A spike of energy comes up from the ground and has a percent chance to do deadly strike.

Stasis Sword (Life is short! Bury!) Small blue ice particles fall from the sky and encase the enemy in them, and has a percentage to freeze the enemy in place.

I'd like the idea, but only if the Scepters could do actual damage and not just have +Skills on them. Perhaps also give a Paladin Sword and Mace/Scepter Mastery? Just an idea.

not anymore..oops sorry, yeah i think he should become scepterman because or whatever because i hardly ever see paladins with it and that is their primary weapon in the first place, making some good uniques for them would undoubtedly alleviate the problem of them using other weapons.

My post per request of CD (I hope I remember it all! )

I would take all scepter class weapon, boost damage, and slightly lower attack speed..making a undead hunter.

second...Take some of the less used swords (eg.: falchion, etc..) make them pally only items, boost attack speed, and add 150% damage to demons (scepters already have 150% damage to undead) making a demon hunter..

as for skills, make them item depandant.. take some skills..such as might, and make it boost when scepter is equiped..salvation is another good example of a good undead hunter skill...

I will add the rest of my ideas about this if interest is shown.

Ok, thats what I said I should do! Should the sword skills work with two-handed swords?

I haven't seen any pallies use two handed swords at all, but I guess you could if you wanted too.

Yes, but the possibility should be there for a paladin to use a shield.

I think a pally should use a shield too..it helps offset thier lower life as a melee..but it is a good option to throw in a few good 2 handers for those that want them!

two handed swords for a pally is a joke. in vanilla lod there is a 2 handed sword with pally skills, noone used it because pallys need sheilds.

and it sucked anyway. Just make it with all swords in case someone wants to try a challenging build. Its not like its hurting anything
