When you report try follow it in this way:

Version: Tell version number you find the bug in. It's a chance this bug been working on a fix and is good to see if it's still around.

What is not working? Give as detailed description as possible what cause the bug. If there is a crash the D2XXXXXX.txt is a good start to check. Also, DA.log can sometimes give useful info.


Current Bug Issues



Valley of Paradise

- House that contain the stash, there is parts of house outside that isnt walkable. even if it should.

Reported in: 0.05.00.10.20


Clicking on char screen

- You will random move if you click on character screen.

Reported in: 0.05.00.10.20


Merc Bug

- A dead merc reappear from dead somehow.
- Dont accept all heal potion types like akaras.

Mana Shrine with blue orb

- Gives +400 strength as buff.

Cluescroll Page 174

- oesn't contain text in it.

Cluescroll Page 23

- has two empty spaces before the clue name compared to other clue names, at least it seems like it.

- Talks about horadic cube instead of Sisterhoods relic.

Death Penalty overlay issue

- Death penalty overlay appears above head then reenter the game, even if you havent died.

Resque Cain quest in tristram

- When resque cain and talk with him Before hi dissapear he doesnt say anything, he should thank you for your help.

Bolt color issue

- Some bolts is dropped as monster item color.

Flavie talk issue

- No text, no audio. Just empty window appears.

Sub quest Cow Quest

- crashes when I need to combine ingredients so I can open the portal to the secret valley.

Item Name issue

- example Ring of something have extra space Before its name. This is on more then just ring items.
- Some item had empty space after the name.

When prayer donation fails

- Gold lost is only temporarly lost. 20k disappear from inventory, but after doing something to the gold (e.g. deposit) they appear.

Ascalon's Heart

- Missing information what quest this belongs too.

Belts extended with oil

- Missing graphic for extended belts.

Locked door issue in lut gholein passage

- When I reached Warriv for the first time, Locked Door wasn't actually locked - I could pass through it. But after talking to him I couldn't exit it (and I didn't have TP belt yet).

- Got stuck here near Warriv

Abyssal Blade scroll

- doesn't disappear after using.

Subquest missing direction description etc

- Overall subquests dont tell what to do next i.e talk with npc x.
- The Lost Recipe quest missing info doesn't say tomb name.
- Greiz's quest: ring inscription isn't shown.
- Subquests aren't separated by acts in the book, I think there should be some separator like -- Act 2 --

Spellscroll Power bug

- Value becomes unintended negative.

Repair bug/crash

- Repair bug/crash (not reproducible in Rogue Encampment): I have a ring with charges which costs a lot to repair. In RE its repair price is shown correctly, but in other locations it's not, and when trying to repair it not in RE game crashes. Repair All price is shown correctly in all towns.

Graveyard quest

- Quest text at end start of Another unintended text.

Genesis Chamber

- Not all spellscrolls is upgrade able too spellbooks.

- Spell books not stackable with each other of same type.

Weapon crafting bug issue

- No items is accepted to enchant at npc weapon crafter.

Old Gnarled Tree bug issue

- I received some quests from Blood Forest citizens, now when I talk to the Old Gnarled Tree game crashes after its speech (tried twice). Before receiving quests there was no crash.

Runescroll

- Missing description what this is.

NPC: Kashya menu issue

- Displays: Ressurect contract from below...
- Hire Option. Then try replace hireling it get stuck if you try click no.
- Hire Option. Menu is invisible initial until buttons is shown.

- Then right click double click game will wait for confirmation of transaction..

Cluescroll crashl

- Get "access violation" at the Demon Cave lvl1 after reading cluescroll 198

Hidden door issue in Jail

- jail when open hidden door in the wall: char can't get in the room.

Listed intelligense instead of Wisdom

+x %magic damage modifier listed wrong on items

- Ancient Gloves" (Skeleton Item) received "+1 +%d magic damage"

Right click on Discovery Tome

- Another Crash while rclicking the Discovery Tome.

Paldin: change skill on LBM crash issue

- When i switch the LMB of Pala from Sacrifice to Zeal the game crashes.

items not displaying correct damage

- Skeletonblade: Poison damage is not listed in character screen.
- I added +max damage to a Blood Armor (zombie item) and it adds the damage to 1 handed attacks, but not 2 handed attacks (at least not with Barbarian)
- Bash seems to not do any more damage than a normal attack. Bash level is currently 2, with 25% damage increase, but both Bash and my regular attack are 7-19 damage.
- Blood Helm (socketed) : I gave it some extra power with Zombies items, including +1 to maximum dammage, I have +1 dmg using the beginning wand, but +0 dmg with a Scythe.

Note: character screen damage is work in progress so not all source of damage is listed.

XP native

- I get an error when trying to launch new character.

XP virtual machine (win7x64)

- crashes without giving an error at the same point.
- D2SE - Application Error. The Instruction at "0x31d109d3" referenced by memory at "0x31d109d3". The memory could not be "read".

Note: This is very high chance issue is because of ASLR.

Replacing existing hireling

- Then try replace existing hireling you get into an infinite loop.

NPC: Charsi

- magic weapons are displayed in the 'Weapons' tab, and somme regular weapons are displayed in the 'Magic' tab.

Corrected Bugs

Archbishops potion

- the skeletons from the Archbishop potions behave like dumb necropets.

Goblin Axes

- Goblin Axes do not allow Goblin organs to be applied to them.

Note: There is a known bug that cause organs to be unusable between games.

Reported in: 0.05.00.10.13


Silver Chains item

- Listed as Wendigo item, but dropped by a yeti). Doesnt allow yeti organs be applied to it.

Reported in: 0.05.00.10.13


Multiplayer save issue.

- savefile is not saved in multiplayer and cause game to crash because of null character.

Rogue Animation error

- !R token is missing modes
- GR token is missing modes

Open Wound cause crash

- Then a open wound is triggered crash happends then it fail roll min/max value (infinite loop).

Necromancer Bugs

- no pet coutner anymore
- teleporting Skeletons
- weird behaving sk archers (not attacking/moving)

Barbarian create/load issue

- Cant create or load a barbarian due to a AddItem issue.

Valley of Paradise

- Crash then hit advocate mobs near the wizard.

Mistral Keep Level 2 animation issue

- Mistral Keep level 2 have eComponent < Num_Components error msg.

Arrow bug

- Some Arrows is dropped as 2x2 itemslots with instead of 1x3.

Armor and Weapon rack

- Items dropps as UNID.

- Cain tells his part of the quest, at end it start rollover into Another text.

Just want to warn about play tcp-ip. I tested mp together with one of players from discord. In tcp-ip then game try to save it will fail and cause your character to vanish (i.e save your character as NULL character).

1. This will be solved in the upcomming patch. Ogodei will be looking into and fix it.

2. Charstat is indeed not list all sources of damage. As I have rewrote it from scratch there is many source of damage not implemented yet, but is a work in progress.

Couple bugs I've noticed:

1) Silver Chains (says Wendigo item, but was dropped by Yeti) doesn't allow Yeti organs to be applied to it.
2) Goblin Axes do not allow Goblin organs to be applied to them.
3) I added +max damage to a Blood Armor (zombie item) and it adds the damage to 1 handed attacks, but not 2 handed attacks (at least not with Barbarian)
4) Bash seems to not do any more damage than a normal attack. Bash level is currently 2, with 25% damage increase, but both Bash and my regular attack are 7-19 damage.

I'll add any other stuff ass I progress, thanks for the awesome mod!

First thanks,

1) that should be an oversight from my side I think. Need to check it up.
2) goblin organs should work on them. Like I mentioned before, make sure you use organ while not relogged (as those not saved between games).
3) reason might be because I havent finished code character screen. I will check however if its working as intended.
4) will check if its display issue or anything else.
5) I will add organ description to make it more clear. But, you can only apply organ to any item with durability, so ring/amu wont work with organs. Also, then you use an organ on item it will reduce 1 max durability permanently.

Not sure if its my setup.. In XP native I get an error when trying to launch new character.

XP SP3 + slipstreamed updates & its using 1.13c files.
also D2SE is working with other mods.

Just checking D2 file dates and most are 03/09/2010.. a few don't match that date

DA used old technique to hook code changed into c++. Thats why most files are having 2010 as date (thats where I stopped do that) and instead moved over to use code injections.

Im not sure why it doesnt work with windowsXp.

EDIT:

For your win7 settings, could you debug and check if memory location for d2game/d2client is the original base? As I suspect your issue there is because of ASLR.

In each case: XP native, Win7x64, & XP virtualbox D2Game.dll & D2Client.dll are correctly detected and loaded by DA at same base address shown in Ollydbg. The DLL's are relocated in some instances, but everything works fine in Win7x64. Also XP OS not capable of ASLR without 3rd party tools.

Wondering if there's a compiled in dependency or Systemcall that's not present in XP OS?

I downgraded compiler during internal test to vs2010 to support winxp. So doubt its that. But will investigate it

Also what recipe is for gems upgrade? Because standard DII "3->1" didn't work or maybe disabled...

the upgrade recipes for gem/runes is disabled in cube. There is other ways to upgrade (as far as I remember). You will probably discover that later.

i've been shoping Akara's minor healing potions when my D2 "freezed" to this:

Did you play in single or multiplayer? the error is a confirmation check (legal check) that you actually using the trader to buy from. It could be an ASLR issue, if you try restart your comp a couple of times and see if error remains. For multiplayer I have got confirmed this is a bug (besides I wouldnt recommend play in mp i current patch due to your savefile will be corrupt).

Play pal, got all needed ingredients, but can't get the scroll in "Adept's Way" quest. Try it in camp amd outside, even re-enter the game, but nothing happened.

And I just got the same error "assertion failure", which was yesterday, between Cairn Stones. There were fallens, skeleton and zombie.

Debuglog-file had huge size (232 MB) again :/

Debuglog is huge due to new rogue animation (it's fixed in the upcoming patch).

I play SP.

It seems very randomly and a restart of d2 helps.
