Vallhalla, singleplayer crashing

When i try to play vallhalla single play it crashes,. first time i tried i could get into the game, but then it crashed agaín, now it crashes when i press the single player button, the bug is named

Something is wrong with your saved characters probably. Move them to a new folder or delete them if they are not needed.

hehe i fixed it easy problem, i didnt have the newest d2 verision

wierd that exact same thing happened to me when i first installed valhalla. I accidentally dl'ed the patch first (i thought the full program came with the patch). Then when i tried to run it, that message came up.
