Need help with creating puzzle like item images
Hi everyone out there!
I'm trying to create some itemgraphics, that are, when put in the right order in the inventory/stash look like 1 big image.
i want to made some special cube recipies and the clues shoud be found in jigsaw-like images (put 5 x 5 images in the right order to get one picture without gaps between them.
Is this possible and how big in pixel must be one image?
Please help.
Thanks so far!
Joar

Why not?
The image must be 30x30 or 31x31 pixel if the image take 1 square in invetory.

one square = 28*28 and max dc6 size is 256*256

Re: Need help with creating puzzle like item images
You might want to create each slot to be bigger than 28x28 px. 28x28 would safely keep the items within the boundaries. If you wish to create "puzzle" items that will form into a bigger picture, you might want to work with bigger grids, say 30x30.
If I were doing this, I'd overlay the full picture on the Diablo 2 inventory grid and slice the picture into its individual items.

If you want to resize images w/o quality loss, you will most likely need a professional sprite editor, with a non-bicubic resize tool. Most game development suites come w something like that though nowadays.
