[Download]stock-files for new skill-animations

Post by Eimernase » Wed Jul 18, 2012 2:37 pm

You want new Missiles and Overlays for your Mod they never seen in Diablo 2?
And you're not afraid of hard work to convert it?

Then you are welcome :)

I will release a package with 150 different animations now here, because i have too many and cant use them all self in my project

few notes about this package
  • there are 150 subfolder in it, every animation have its own folder
  • all frames are in singlefiles like bmp, they are not finished as gif or dcc...thats your work then!!
  • you can found files for missiles, overlays or things like portals
  • missiles have mostly 16 directions
  • background is allways black (rgb 0,0,0)
  • most of them need to be resize and also moving, they are greater as vanilla-animations
This is aimed primarily for user, they have enough experience in creating animations for his Mod...beware it, its not an easy task!!

Here you can get it : Animation-Package (38,7MB zipfile, fast download from my own server)

Enjoy it..maybe we will see cool skills in your projects, good luck ;)

maybe possible that i will release also new unit-files in future (after i finished mine^^)...we will see it

Really awesome. I would love to see them in action. Did you implement any of them into your mod?

I did but I'm having problems with my ISP, upload is working very badly. So I can,t upload a video of my results (even a screenshot I can't, but a screenshot wouldn't show the best result anyways)

Thanks for that Eimernase, that is fantastic! Good work!

None of them are implement in my project, but i use also many from outside.
As i said, i have to many stuff like maps/units/skillanimations for modding and cant use all self, it would need years to make them all finish
And before i delete them from my PC its maybe a good idea to share it with others here ;)

We all like dragons, because they are mystic fantasy creatures.
And some people asked me if i have a dragon monument for his maps....so here its a stockfile to create your own tileset.

Image Image

This isnt finished yet, but need just smooth working (as example few halftransparency pixels around)
You can download this as Photoshop-File (.psd) here (850KB)

- Background is setting for an Act 0-Palette (rgb 0,255,255)
- both dragons are in it
- all adjustment Layer and Styles are in it, so you can play with them if you want

So its all up to you, what you do with them now. Good luck ;)

thats the reason why i convert them all into bmp with black background...so its easier to resize them (before you work on it!!) as with transparency png-frames or animated gif-files.

Edit:

here is another thing...stockfiles for a map.

Image <-- its just a small preview, the real map is 4 times bigger

So if you want to make new tilesets for maps, this is the big town map "drannor" from the game Pool of Radiance 2.
If you dont know this game, look at Diabolic Cartography, there are few tileset-plugins from those game created by Red Havoc.

In the zipfile you can find an explaining txt-file how to use the images in it.
You can get this here (22MB)

Maybe you can create cool new tilesets.
Good luck ;)

That's a state not an overlay :(

Don't think multipart overlays are possible, and multiplayer missiles are technically possible but really tricky and not worth doing imo
Also perspective mode can ruin mutlipart overlays or whatever too, I rather not mess with them.

What do you think overlays are? Take a look at an aura, it has 1 state, this state is linked to 1 overlay, but the overlay has 2 parts (front/back)

Well, I think he meant that you can't use them for things such as cast overlays.

just simple..as the threadtitle says, they are stockfiles.

it isnt hard to modifying those to what ever you want, depends only at your fantasy and experience with graphic programs. ;)

I will bump this post for a reason. Please make this post sticky, i had some hard times while finding this :)
Since this post is the best resource for some skill animations, it will be better to make it sticky i think.

I'll sticky this for now, but it would be better to make a list of available resources (in-fact many of these should go in the file center), ATM I don't have the time for this, but if anyone has a fwe links I'll put it together and sticky it.

Sir, that would be great! Also the tiles you made are awesome. This forum needs more tiles for custom maps :)

Anyway i will always follow the things you make, thanks!

Could you upload this file again, please? I cannot reach the file, so I asked this in the forum. But no one replies it, I wonder nobody has this file anymore.
