Quality decrease: any work-arounds?

Post by FIGURE- » Sun Jun 01, 2014 7:45 pm

So I assume this quality decrease and shifted color is caused by d2's palettes. I know that most images you import into d2 will look worse like in the image below, but does anyone have any work-arounds or tips for making the quality decrease less noticeable?

Thanks in advance!

looks like an issue with the color table.
Maybe you can adjust a bit the colors in your graphic program to fit more with the D2-table...but i cant say if its enough or not.
Green and Purple are the 2 colors in D2 which are realy bad to fit from other sources

you can load an existing D2 palette and apply it before you even convert it to game. With that you can easy alter graphic to look better then let the convert tool do the work for you.

As D2 is limited to 256 color palette you will never get high quality conversions, but there is options in your graphic too to use closest color.
