Custom Health / mana orb Problem

Post by Vizual904 » Sun Jul 26, 2015 11:19 pm

So i have to very nice life / mana orbs id like to change here they are.

Image Image

Im using dc6 creator 1.02 to extract the hlthmana.dc6 File i have it exported on my desktop for editting. Heres s/s of what it looks like. -I HAVE THE ORIGINAL Health/mana orbs still.-

Image

All i did here was swap the original health / mana globes with my new custom globe.bmp's

Now heres where my problem is. When i open dc6 creator 1.02 and push the INI --> Dc6 file i get this error.

Image

I have no idea how to fix this cause im new to editting and i have no idea what the problem is the globes are exactly the same size as the original d2 globes the images are saved as .bmp i looked through almost every guide i could find and have not found a fix to my problem. IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME FIX THIS OR TELL ME WHAT MY PROBLEM IS it would be greatly appreciated :).

Also. If you want to use my globes as your own customs you may :D.

Only two reasons I could think if cause this issue.

1. Using more then 256 colors.

or next is probably the reason

2. The file is open somewhere else, I would simply try copy the file to your d: disk or somewhere else.

Did you apply the right palette to the new files?
There's a D2 PALS in the file center that contains all the palettes file

I have been using DC6 Creator 1.02 for years and never have I had an error with images using more than 256 colors.

I believe this error actually comes from some image editors and the way they create/save files.
I have had a few of these, re-saving with mspaint (lolz) always fixed the issue.

have nothing to do with more as 256 colors...the dc6creator recalc any image down to max 256 when import.

looks more like an problem with your image program which you use to make this images.

well..here is a hlthmana.dc6 with your new bubbles ;)
