I have a few to add mostly map related ;)

Dt1gen: Created by: NNy

It also has built-in viewers for many types, cof,dcc,dc6, ds1,dt1, pcx.

DT1 Tools: Created by: Paul Siramy
This a package of simple programs for the management of the DT1 files.

Sometimes we win with greater firepower, through sheer numbers or more powerful weapons, but for the most part it is knowledge that defines our victories. Know something and it has lost its power over you.

ds1edit Loader : new DS1 Editor Front End designed to work with win_ds1edit. Brought to us by Darth Devilious. You can forget how to make a batch for win_ds1edit now.

DT1 Tools 2 : This zip (48 KB) contain new versions of 2 exe (and their sources) from the DT1 Tools, dt1extr2.exe and dt1make2.exe. These 2 programs works together. Use dt1extr2.exe to extract a DT1 into NOT a .ini BUT a .tabulated .txt, and use dt1make2.exe to make a new .dt1 reading that .txt (not the .ini). It's usefull for mass editing in a spreadsheet like Excel (like if you want to edit all main-index easily).

Sir Xavius Tools
All of my modmaking tools are written with JUSTBasic for use on WinXP systems. They are prepared to work with D2LOD v 1.10, so other versions may have problems (i don't work with those specs, so i wouldn't know).

DT1 Tooler: Provides a simple GUI for using Paul Siramy's excellent DT1 Tools for making map tiles. Extensive help and samples included. Thread can be found here.

MagicMaker: To be released soon. Makes it easy to edit existing or create your own magic TXT files (magicprefix.txt, magicsuffix.txt, and automagic.txt). Incredibly intuitive GUI but can only be used for LOD vanilla games/files (there may be workarounds for using altered TXT files). Lots of helpful tips and info on file restrictions.

Unique Itemizer: In planning stages. Edit existing or create your own Unique items for use in LOD vanilla games, with workarounds for modded TXT files. I won't be able to show the accompanying graphic, as the DC6 parser for other programs is written in C, and i don't think can be easily translated to BASIC.

Set Creator: In planning stages. Edit existing or create your won Sets in one window, with full Set type 1 and 2 functionality. I won't be able to show the accompanying graphic, as the DC6 parser for other programs is written in C, and i don't think can be easily translated to BASIC.

Thnx. Let me know if DT1 Tooler is helpful.

I have recently gotten back into modding D2 again, and i'm currently working on the Unique Item creator, called Uniquity. The program is tough to create because it will have some great features, but if i can stay interested in it, it will be easy and intuitive...

After that, i'll probably work on the Set creator, but we'll see!

Making Diablo II modding work with win10/64-bit/v1.14b

I tried several MPQ editors, but none would work. Like most new modders, I just downloaded the latest Diablo II / LoD version off of Blizzard's site, and am using Windows 10.

Anyway, here's a 64-bit MPQeditor:

http://www.zezula.net/en/mpq/download.html

to extract files from the new patch mpq, you need the listfiles for 1.14b:

http://laserblue.org/mpq-listfiles.zip

Most mods won't work with 1.14b. Median XL works, since it changes basically *everything* - beware, until you uninstall both Median *and* Diablo II, you won't be able to access your old characters.

Here's d2excel plus, it's mentioned a lil further down in the posts on this subforum, but so it doesn't disappear:

"No man, who is not inflamed by vain-glory into enthusiasm, can flatter himself that his single, unsupported, desultory, unsystematic endeavours are of power to defeat the subtle designs and united Cabals of ambitious citizens. When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall, one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle." - Edmund Burke
